    2015 Hyundai Sonata Sport/Limited

Thanks fellas. If I did do another build log it would be pretty fast as I already have all the equipment so I may still post one here as well.

Slow build, but wanted to get a build log going.
  3. What DSP? 9 times out of 10 it's the DSP. They are install and vehicle dependant.. just because it's the DSP doesn't mean the DSP is bad just a bad choice for your car or setup. Ive had the same problem with 3 different Dayton DSPs to turn around and have no issues with my Audio Control 6to8.

Build log is officially done, car has been deemed a total loss after a truck with a trailer swerved right in my lane. Sucks but I guess on to another car with another build, since it's so quiet here I may not even post on the forum. But who knows, everything is out of my Sonata besides the NorthStar under hood battery, Pioneer double din and main power wire run. I will get those out tomorrow. The crazy part about all this is, I just got back from being in Cali for a week, accident happened in less than two hours after getting off my plane.

    Audio Legion

Nope nothing shady, just seems as they are going out of business at the moment. Don't know all the details just something that I read on FB.

New mids have been delivered, I don't know how I will install these or when but it's great to finally level up to some 8"s.

Shorter 1/0 Knukonceptz power and ground wire was delivered today for the sub amplifier and it is already installed. Looks way cleaner so far. Will button up the fuse block later

4 gauge wire coming from front stage amplifier is now connected to fuse block instead of positive battery terminal. 1/0 wire for sub amp has been removed since it was too long, adequate size wire was purchased and will be here Thursday. Wiring management is getting better and it's starting to look much cleaner.

Slowly still working on wiring the trunk up while I have room. 3 Positive runs from fuse block to battery positive are done and ziptied together.

Battery box install is complete; I knew these self tapping bolts would come in handy one day.

Slowly getting things permanently mounted to the vehicle; after tightening up horns under the dash the battery box in the trunk was next. Brackets were installed on the box; I have some heavy duty self tapping screws to mount the brackets to the trunk floor.

Yes sir I love how easy it is to work these doors; I thought it looked cool myself the first time that I uninstalled them.

Back doors received the same treatment as the front doors.

Sundown subs and box are gone and trunk is empty again. Fi sub is being made now and so is my new enclosure. I finally got around to using my SoundSkins Rings V3 on my front door speakers; they are way better than the Stinger fast rings and helped with the sound.

12s arent that impressive, yes they get loud and arent too bad. But I must admit I love the sound of Fi's subwoofers and already put an order in for another 15" on their new NEO lines.

Thanks man I appreciate it. That dont take up that much leg room since my dash is kind of high but I wear a size 12 and my left foot doesnt get to fully extend in its normal resting position like I was able to before. But its not the end of the world for me. The only reason why my foot is hindered on space is the fact my car has knee airbags so I had to mount my horns upside down with the actual speaker magnets on the bottom side. If they were mounted normally, I wouldnt have any issues with leg or foot room.

Honestly that's a dope idea man..I may try that with my next box..

Enclosure is finished and loaded up with subs. I will pick it up by this weekend hopefully.
  23. Your best bet may be to unscrew the sub and take a look at the back/magnet. Could be a custom cone sticker or a complete custom sub. If that logo is a brand than I'm not familiar with it.

My builder was at finals this weekend so the box progress slowed down some towards the middle of last week. Today it received body work and was sanded so it's prepared for bed liner. Enclosure will be covered in bed liner to match the battery box already in the trunk. The port will be painted white and hopefully it will pop with the blue LED trunk light.

Bought some better mounting hardware than the screws I used which scratched my hands up when installing since the ends were exposed. I was rushing the install and wanted to use what I had on hand; haha you live and you learn. I will be purchasing a Dremel soon to clean up the area of the horn bodies that I had to cut.
