Hurts my hands just to watch

It's for my last remaining Icon 15. It's been sitting in the original shipping box since I blew the coil on the twin at Slamology years ago. Every day I see the dang thing sitting there just begging me to give it life. So, 4 cubes plus displacements, 2200rms @ 2 ohms tuned at a nice flat 27hz. After modeling these numerous times through the years of owning these, this was the best response curve I can obtain.

There was a record setting flood that rolled through Ellicott City this past Saturday night, very close to me. The main bar that has been there for nearly an eternity was pretty much destroyed. Based on the last sentence there I would 86 all three brands you referenced. Re has gone the way of the dog house, DD focuses on single note customers, and Sundown at that price level isn't a great deal. Not that the SSA is your only choice, but in your budget it will be really hard to beat. Definitely a substantial improvement on your old Rli.

The Gcon is seriously bang for the buck one helluva a buy. Tons of other subs in other categories, but for $200 yikes.

Street value is < $75 for it since you don't know the T/S and have a frankenwoofer. There is a reason why... I'd seriously just chalk it up to a loss and call it a day. That or spend $100 on a woofer tester or find someone who will test it for you. Either way, don't expect it to keep up with tons of other woofers in the sub $250 category. No way, no how it will be the same as it was.

I also wanted to shout out to Aaron. One time you mentioned you eat an apple and go for a walk to perk up. It does work better than coffee. I also have apples around and that helps when I'm not capable of controlling my sweet cravings.. In making progress on what I consider meager protien intake. I used to force myself into 350ish grams a day. I am not so afraid of losing gains if I go out drinking one night or miss a meal. I try not to, but I don't get dizzy like I used to if it was more than 3 hours and I haven't had >30 grams of protein.

You could get a soundqubed HD310 for around that kind of money and those subs hammer but you would need more then 600watts to realize their true potential. But didn't you say you where making 1152@2ohm? That would make it hum. And I hate to agree with M5 but the SSA subs are really good to to me they have a more sq sound then the soundqubed.
