Billyjack, when you post false information on this forum which I consider my home on the Internet, you risk misinforming newbies and fucking up their whole learning process. Since you can't comprehend the concept of being wrong, you don't stand to learn anything. People come here to learn and progress. You come here to try and prove yourself right. Go do your buddies installs and convince them that shitshow is top notch. Stop fucking up our forum with your backasswards halfcocked shit. Learn or fuck off. Stop contaminating this site. I'm the resident loon and you make me look like a brainiac.

I don't post dyno results. We don't have amps..... yet.

is it possible to just take away the ability to downvote for just one individual? that may solve this problem in an easier manner, in which it affects less people

LOL, hooray for hippy parents!! The rep system is what it is and such things can always be abused in some shape or form occasionally. I don't think there's any need to change it as it's not going to change the situations when conflict of some kind arises between members. While the forum isn't as busy as it used to be (I blame Facebook and other social media) everyone who's active here has a great passion for the hobby. That passion and (let's face it) a little bit of ego can make for a fiery combination. However if the name calling and such is left out of it with only facts leading it can turn into some fantastic discussion and debate. In all honesty Billy the ban hammer here mostly collects dust. The only thing it's ever used on is the spam bots. I've been a member for several years and can only remember one instance it was used on an actual member and it was definitely needed. There really wasn't any other choice. As for the comments about Mark and Steve, he doesn't have to agree with him to be friends with him. I would even venture to guess that they were friends or at least acquaintances before Steve got so popular and full of himself. Thats just my .02 for what it's worth.
  5. I really wanted to like that chainsmokers/Halsey Mashup. Was just too simple... it sounded almost unfinished. These folks fixed it. Oddly enough, the Martin Logans really fucking kill it on this song.
  6. How to install external 4-channel amp and mono block amps into Mercedes Benz cla300 2016 with Harman kardon factory upgrade.. Keeping factory head unit console and steering wheel controls?
  7. I only adjusted it limiting the amount of rep per day members can give, so there isn't rep spam. But I made this topic in regards to the usage and abuse of it. I wasn't trying to start more fights, I was trying to spark a conversation about it. As it is meant to be about the content, not the person.
  8. was the system just changed so we can now see who gives us a reputation thing? i can see it now, but could not before?
  9. Mark met him once a good number of years ago. We do ZERO business or contact with him and it will stay that way. I don't think I have seen any of our members posting dyno results. Maybe a manufacturer, but not a member.
  10. Ruined my rant with a typo on the last word though It's more than music to me, so I take it somewhat seriously. Been a member on SSA since I was 13.
  11. Heres the new amp lay out, with the 20 D1600's in there. Turned out ok. Time to gain match, and let it eat soon.
  12. Speakerboy, you;ve always tried to do some crazy shit ...but that's part of the fun of the hobby, AND you actually listen to advice.
  13. Thats that company posting that to help sell there amps. Thats not ssa doing It
  14. Getting bored here... pissing match = boredom... REP system might need a post requirement but literally I only see 5 names on the homepage so I guess it doesn't matter... lol
  15. All you need is a clean sweep factory integration and you can run a entire system off your factory head unit but still have proper after market sound. And many different company's make them audio control, fosgate, and many more.
  16. I found that the new 12" Icon was very bottom heavy with 2.50cf3 .... almost annoying on some tracks and that program is a piece of shit....... this is for ONE ICON good port velocity and prophile ........ I left some extra room for the port corners and a brace ...if you use a double baffle add the thickness to the depth... I'd do more but it's been a LOONG day
  17. If a program doesn't show cone excursion, port velocity, and a frequency response it isn't worth using. Isn't there some emulator for an Apple solution? I used to only buy Apple stuff, but haven't owned one of their products in over 20 years.
  18. Well....that got sideways You take eveything as an insult,he tells it straight forward and sometimes in a way to make you think for yourself about what you asked. Took me a little while to get used to it myself....lol Tirefryer used to be sarcastic as well, but no harm intended. All in all this has been a very informative forum for me,would know jack without it.
  19. What about the recommended box looks off? Amusing to me since the Torres calculator looks off to me. I've never used it, but the interface looks like crap and I am dubious as to any results coming from it. I personally would use Win ISD pro and model port velocity, but also verified a bunch of the SSA designs and they were all great.
  20. Ok, this didn't really go as I thought it would. Maybe we need to make a poll to decide the purpose/direction of the rep system to avoid abuse. I kind of prefer civil approaches to things. Damn hippy parents.
  21. Girls, Girls... Can we all just get along... lol
  22. Sean, what you need to do is start swinging that trusty ole ban hammer around you've had sitting in the corner for ages. Just saying. On a serious note, there is a lot of inactive moderators on this site.
  23. You do see how those two comments are related right? *again rhetorical, no need to answer
  24. Aaron, the bigger question might be how to deal with dipshits. Using an exception to change a rule is frustrating. That being said, the negative comments generally don't help although they do give an opportunity to mark a post shit without quoting it. Hard line to walk. I don't care about anyone's score in the rep system at all, but what I do care about is that people respect the board. When they don't do that they should be escorted out the door permanently. One option to prevent nonsense (if the board allows it) is to require a minimum 200 posts before you can mark anything negative. Obviously a rhetorical question.
  25. Well, it was 100 miles away from where I live. I left the inlaw's house at 7 AM, the road from there to the event was awesomesauce. Oddly enough today I looked at the new Mustang Eco-boost. Kind of affordable here. It's a fricking barge, longer and wider than the Jeep and almost as heavy. But I like it a lot.
  26. As long as the stretch the chassis to do this so the backseat has 3" more leg room I am in!
  27. To keep things simple, if I were you, using the amp & going in an escalade like you said above I would download the specs and design from the store for the dual ported enclosure. You should have more than enough space to make that happen. If you were throwing more power on them or limited on space, then you could manipulate the design with modeling another design. What's on the store as a zip file for dual ported I believe would be just what you're looking for as far as port area, gross, & net volumes. On sub & port placement, subs up and port towards the back seems to work well in most SUV's.
  28. You're actually get a better response out of pairing the subs next to each other rather than isolating them left & right. With the port shared in the middle and nothing splitting the port you will create unwanted turbulence in the port. Keeping it simple the air from both sides crash into each other and creates pressure as the two forces blend and create air friction when competing to exit out of one opening. Keeping the subs paired close to each other in a common shared chamber almost makes the two act as one. Audibly the change may seem minimal, but you did mention sound quality. Quick visual reference look at altoncustomtech profile pic.
  29. Personally, except for the port area being a little on the small side for my taste, I think the enclosure looks great. Well, for a single sub, are you planning on building two like that or one big box with separate chambers? 2.5cuft of volume per sub would be nice but that much for both would be WAY too small. If that's all the space you can afford to give the enclosure then doing a sealed enclosure should be your only course of action rather than trying to shoehorn them into an enclosure that's too small. The icons will definitely surprise you with their response in a sealed enclosure if that's the case. If not then you're going to have to give up more room for the enclosure.

Is there a reason you try to ruin every single thread you post in?

If you want to be respected act respectable. The only thing I don't like is stupidity btw, so stop exemplifying it and guess what will happen. Tony is a scum bag. A lie and a cheat. His engineering skills are weak.

Billy your Again you forgot to read. Imagine that. My 7 year old has better reading comprehension than you. You should try reading, comprehending, THINKING and then typing.

Because some people are morons and can't read. Let me help:

Lost my mind, lol. Saying to not get butt hurt is not calling you names. This is. You are obviously a moron. Get the difference?

Why are you trolling ??? What difference does it make ??? If you hate what people do here, why are you still here ???

Again, a quick bit of research and you wouldn't sound like an idiot. I am a Physicist, working as the VP for a Metrology company that focuses on Noise & Vibe measurements. Have a lab with over $8M in acoustic and vibration measuring gear and a team of Engineers working for me. We do consultative measurements for companies with WAY more capability than anyone Tony the dipshit has ever even met. This includes about every big audio company you can ever think of along with every company that are in these industries: automotive, aerospace, consumer electronic, etc. The only thing in question here is your statement of being educated, you sure don't show that, rofl.

The equipment is all our own design...but if you read, you knew that. I could give a shit less if you believe me. Your ignorance however is annoying.

Nice. So you post stupid shut and people call it out so you respond with the maturity of a 7th grader. Btw, a lot of who you think are my buddies don't like me. They just think your posts suck.
