  4. I'd like to see some more pics, is that a two-piece back plate / pole assembly ? How many cross drilled holes ? Any idea on the final BL^2 / Re of the design ? PS: Just curious about the design, information is just to satisfy my curiosity. I have been considering doing some more custom work in the future, find it pretty cool. john responded i copied it : The idea is the more venting the better! Radial venting drilled into the pole circumference blows cold air directly onto the sides of the voice coil former. The air is taken in through the center pole vent and out the radial vents. Venting the pole to a subwoofer is a give take scenario. When a vent is machined down the center of the pole piece it takes some of the metal mass that is coming through the front plate and creating the magnetic field in the motors gap. In order to take the power that LB will be running to this single sub we felt that extra venting definitely wouldn't hurt! We laminated a two layer dust cover together for the MOAB. im sure if you logged in and asked him hed be happy to answer your questions there great people

  24. M5/// and Jim please be aware that i do respect you opinions and try my best to use what you teach to the best of my understanding... but i am not versed as yall and i only started this thread in the hopes of pointing out that some/well most of the time the Sq guys come off a lil arogant. sorry for the one sided choices on the poll this was not intended as a fight thread
  25. i dont feel the need to ! as i can tell from the poll everyone agrees. as a member of the SPL group i feel that someone needed to point out that it gets a lil tiring having the SQ group nagging about us wanting to be loud. why cant SQ be 150db + for daily... ?
