what ohm load are you imposing on the amp ? is it a mono block ? 2ch ? 4 ch? is the amp properly grounded ? do you have enough voltage ? are the speaker wires touching ?

i had never seen it before either... but for Port wars it was interesting...

well said i on the other hand am an Extreamist... i like to push it to the limit... i like the 1st pllace Trophys so i use 2x SAZ 1500ds i like to Win you cant do better than a 1500d i drove all the way from Dallas TX to Baton Rough Louisiana. Pounding so hard people on the HWY were giving me the Poopoo face as i passed them and the amps bearlly got warm... its a 9hr drive 1 way... drove back & went to 2 competitions back to back saturday & Sunday ! WON 1st place @ both events... that is why i think you would like the 1500 over the 1000

on certian songs it is useful but to leave it on constantlly would overdrive the signal causing distortion & eventually sub failure.

the way i understand it : is the device was to recreate bass & sub Freq that was either lost of weak due to media playback... i.e. cassett or bad recording, cheap Hu etc etc etc... now that we have Kickass Hu, killer Cds, and mo better amps, the need for the AQ Epi has run its coruse... try this lisen to a song with weakass bass and turn on the unit BAM in come the killer bass, put on a song like Get Low - ying/yang twins and you will not notice the change as the bass was srtong when recorded... just my .02
