  1. Sorry to post something confusing, I meant I don't idle and listen to music much (parking lots, etc). I listen to music constantly lol. Thanks for the suggestions guys! I'll definitely be getting the 3000d then.
  2. Hmm.. I have an optima d34/78 in the front and a batcap 400 in the back atm. I guess I could give it a try with a kinetik or equivilent. This is my daily driver, but I don't really sit and listen to music much. I live in the country without much stop and go traffic. Thanks.
  3. Alright, thanks man! I'll be getting the single amp in the future then, it will be cheaper anyway. Do you think I'd be able to run the 3000d with a 120 amp alt with extra batteries, or should I just get a more powerful alt and what size would you suggest? I just think it's going to be hard to find an alt for a reasonable price for a volvo s40....
  4. I'm just trying to get an idea of what I should get. I'm not really sure how the electrical is going to take it, I will upgrade if I have to.
  5. Hi- I'm getting new subs for my daily driver next summer, most like 2 dp's (not sure which size yet). I am considering either 2 sundown 1500d's or 1 sundown 3000d. I have a 120 amp alt, a D34/78 optima in the front, a bat cap 400 in the back, and the big three done in 0 awg. I want to keep the same alt, how many/what type of batteries would I need? Thanks
  6. Hi- I was wondering if it would be more efficient on my electrical to run two 1500d's or one 3000d. I want to get as much efficiency with the current draw as possible. Any ideas? Thanks.
  7. Should be fine man, as long as you didn't play it too hard for a long time and dont see an impedance rise (use a multimeter). Just see how it sounds tomorrow, I bet it will be the same as before.
  8. Hey thanks man. I hadn't thought of sealing the box from the trunk. I'll have to keep these specs in mind for when I get them.
  9. Nice! I'll definitely be getting those subs then, I had a feeling they are what I have been looking for. If you don't mind me asking, how is that box designed? I'd like to have a trunk enclosure like that, I cannot make a wall in the cabin at this time. Is it like a walled trunk, or an actual box? I was thinking of making a two stage box of sorts so I could utilize the tire well for volume. The second piece on top would have the baffles/ports and would seal to the first piece in the trunk if that makes any sense. Thanks man.
  10. So how do you like the dp 12" 's? I am considering getting some of those next year. What kind of numbers are you expecting?
  11. hmm, I definitely have to measure, I'd like to try out something bigger than 12"s. I'm guessing they get progressively more awesome as you increase size haha. Any amp suggestions as well? I'm not sure what kind of power these things can handle in a ported box, I was thinking maybe a sundown 2500d or 3000d or even a rf 30001bd. I really don't want to upgrade my 120 amp alt, would battery capacity be good enough to drive around with. This is a daily driver by the way, I'm not sure if I mentioned that before. Thanks for the suggestions thus far.
  12. This is going in a volvo s40 sedan. I am going to use the spare tire well and some of the trunk as my box. My guess is probably 5-6 cubes. This is a build for next summer anyway, I'm just trying to get an idea of what I want to do with this.
  13. Hello. Right now I have just 1 12" lethal injection and I love it, but I want to upgrade to something even better. I'm planning on making a fiberglass enclosure for either 2 12" death penalties or 2 15" death penalties. I don't think I will be able to fit 18"s, but I haven't calculated my total volume yet either. How do the 12"s and 15"s compare? Is it worth the extra volume? 18"s? Any suggestions? Thanks.
