  1. Looking at your build I thought contact was doubtful also. Only reason it came to mind is I just dealt with an install that the owner was unhappy with the mids ands that was the culprit. Looks like a more robust mid is in order.
  2. You expressed concern about possible physical contact with the door panel. I would verify this is not an issue first. Otherwise I think you answered your own question.
  3. If your current drivers are straining mechanically then you may need a beefier driver.
  4. Gains are for matching the levels of everything. If you feel the mids are level with everything else, then your good there. Otherwise same as with the eq, either lower the gains on the other drivers in the car or boost the mids gain to match. I personally would not do multiple drivers if you can't mount them together. Sure it may be louder, but will most likely sound poor. An 8" will have more output down low as it has more cone area, but may not be any louder up high.
  5. Now that you smoothed out the sound, do you feel the drivers can handle more power? Or do you feel like they are straining? The next option if that doesn't cut it would be find drivers with more thermal and mechanical limits. That or double up the drivers.
  6. Thanks J. I appreciate all your support AND advise. People of your breed are far and few between. Has been an adjustment. As you know I am a very active person, so has been hard to let the pain slow me down.
  7. What do you feel your current drivers are lacking? Output across the board or just down low? Boosting with the eq is expectable. Just a suggestion to smooth out the peaks before boosting.
  8. With aspect ratio tires, the sizes can vary based on the tread pattern. Most manufacturers will give you sectional width measurement on a specific rim width. Use the formula to determine the tread width of a tire on different width rims. As far as what would fit best, I would be finding a tire fitment chart for the vehicle. Or looking at a forum for that vehicle, to determine what others have done and what worked.
  9. I assume you mean with 1" of rim width? You assumed correctly. I assumed you wouldn't try fitting a 16" tire on a 17" wheel.
  10. What flavor of shoes did you get?
  11. Is that what they're calling gay pride parades now? Yes it's the new code word. Bring on the rainbows baby! You know how I know your gay? You knew the code.
  12. Relax and enjoy This is the plan. Is my anniversary this week.
  13. As a rule of thumb tire section width changes 1cm per inch of rim change.
  14. I expect some goddam pictures.
  15. Tool show I went to a few months ago was killer. I am ready for another.
  16. You think Your wife's music sucks, wait until you have to take your kids to shows.
  17. You are more dedicated than me Neal. It takes a lot to want to run in one place.
  18. Officially on a 7 day vacation! My body needs the rest. Two months since I quit taking pain meds.
  19. Suspension and brakes went on smoothly. Slowly making progress. Making sure to do everything legit so hopefully I never have to touch it again.
  20. Front brake lines are installed!! Looks like I need to do the intermittent and rears too. I found a leak under the car. That would explain why the lines are dry.
  21. My daughter just bought her second screen. I wasn't paying for it. Idk how people are so hard on them.
  22. I can't believe some places are still is business. Ordered tie rods ends from a place I was doing a big order from. One tie rod end is clearly defective. Their response is there is variances in manufacturing of aftermarket parts. They can't replace it as that's just the quality they have. No need to argue with that. The realist I am, I recognize they just sell poor quality parts. I ordered Moog's this time from somewhere else. Hopefully the QC is better.
  23. Compared to what I sleep on? Trash. This apartment is way better than a hotel though. Today sucked however. I can barely walk across the apartment with my knee so swollen. Tomorrow I'm going to get up early, slam my pain meds, some aspirin and ice it. Then walk. Sounds like you need a motorized wheel chair. JkMy next vacation I am staying at home and relaxing.
  24. Is it that your amp didn't get up to the reserve twice? Or something else?Is an easy way to move goods, hard to find items. Nah had a guy hit the reserve, but checkout with the wrong address. Told him to fix it and re-bid. As well as another guy who didn't notice the lack of a DIN cable with the ADS amp and refuse to pay because of it. J Sounds like the fucktards I ordered my parts from...only they are a business.
  25. Matt, are the beds comfy? That's usually número uno for me when traveling.
