Let's Talk Tweeter's
Clean, crisp sound is 90% install and 10% equipment. The best equipment in the world is going to sound like shit if installed poorly or in poor locations. I third getting a set of comps and mounting the tweeters up high. Play with the tweeter aiming to see what gives you the sound you want before the final mounting.

I am planning on doing Corian tops hopefully this spring. I already have the slate tile for the back splash.- Welcome to the IHoP v.2
Neither are sold at walmart, nor will either flake over time. You made me check as its been about 10 years since I used it. The wallyworld brand was Dupli-color by Krylon, although they show selling a Rust-oleum brand now too. I have always wanted to try the Durabak as it's a Colorado based company and is available already colored.- Welcome to the IHoP v.2
I've tried one of those brands IIRC. Whichever one they sale at walmart and it flaked after time.- Welcome to the IHoP v.2
Try the search on here. I know a bunch of ppl have used it. Steve on here just finished his bed with a paintable product this week as its in his build. Let me know what product you find is the best as I need to do a center console enclosure here soon.- Welcome to the IHoP v.2

Meh. I'll trade ya.- Mid-Bass Driver Selection
Acoustically the 10" is a superior choice as pointed out for several reasons. I have even found the OP a set of 10" Aura's if he decides to go that route. I have also pointed out the SSA 10" mid choices as I think they may be worth at least running the numbers on from a reference point of view. I have also tried explaining to the OP the effects of different alignments on the FR as he has shown no understanding of this. AND asked to him to verify what will fit. AS both of these factors need to be addressed before the OP can even begin to look at driver selections. Also the OP stated in the chat that he honestly wants the 12"s for the WOW factor more than any other reason. I would hope he can chime in on this so we can help him choose the driver that he is going to be happy with in the end for whatever reason.- Mid-Bass Driver Selection
Sen that driver is 7.5" deep. Have you confirmed the depth you can fit in you door? If you have a 12" sub laying around you can use it for test fitting just to visualize how it will work out. You stated you want a 12" for the "WOW" factor more so than for true SQ. Which is cool if that's your purpose. IF you can find a 12" other than the Aura's that works on paper, and that's not ridiculously expensive, I will gladly buy a pair and try them as I have wanted another pair of drivers to play with.- Welcome to the IHoP v.2
Speaking of trading. I had my barber and my masseuse visit me at work this week.- Welcome to the IHoP v.2
He drew my big arm piece. Thanks for the kind words J. I look forward to putting the finishing touches on the one sleeve and jamming out the other arm! Aaron, I wish I could of done the tattoo for you also. I have visions of a b&g super realistic one up the back of the other arm! As I started tattoo'ing out of enjoyment and to be that guy that tatt'ed up all his friends and family. I love leaving a piece of me on people for life and also their souls. I am honestly considering doing another one on the left arm. This one took 14 hours. But then again, a sleeve is something in the back of my mind also. Not to say homie was slow but I personally could of done it in quite a bit less time. I am VERY deliberate and don't mess around as time is money. With that being said, I will tell you the same I told Jordan. A plane ticket, rental car and hotel are probably less than paying someone to do 8-12 hrs of tatt work on you as I would do the work for free if you make it here. I can't accept free work. Meh. I usually tell friends and fam to just pay enough to cover supplies and overhead. I would already have done a cross country trek to ink and meet all the SSA brothers, but life has not permitted it. Aaron, Take the time to take this man up on the offer. I am hoping to make the trip in May or June for my next session. Bring the lady along to see CO too. J If its meant to happen, it will happen. The offer is there for you Aaron. I know how you are about taking things for free as you wouldn't even let me give your boy Lego's without giving something in return. Which btw was worth about double what I sent you. I don't accept free, Neal has really tested me. I forgot what I sent you, but Arthur loves the legos and builds with them often. As for coming out, travel for me is relative based on stored up vacation time based on time elapsed from layoff/new job turnover. In all honesty, I'm so programmed to not take any time off whatsoever as to be prepped for the next layoff to carry me over until I find a new job. I understand the probability is unlikely due to life's circumstances. As far as payment, bring Arthur with you as I have about a hundred pounds of Lego's that need sorted and built into sets. lol I still have quite a few states back east I need to travel to so you never know.- Welcome to the IHoP v.2
Hey Sean. I checked for the stack of licence plates I had for you but I must of thrown them away when I moved. Funny thing is the wifey wants to do the kitchen floor with them also.- Greetings from D.C.
