Welcome to the IHoP
You get reflections Not audible at my ref level. Err, then you are seriously a god of EQ. Of course reflections don't have a "sound" but interfere. Pretty hard to "hear" them at any level, just their effect. I believe he means it sounds good to him and he can't tell. I know, just since Stefan is pounding through configuration after configuration and reading about vertical cues, azimuth response and other acoustic phenomena I don't want him to get too distracted. I have no doubt the Honda sounds stellar. I love the driver locations, aiming, etc. Jealous by a lot in fact as its nearly an ideal setup. I am not saying there isn't refections, just not to an audible degree. Stefan is running an 18" sub in the car so I feel he honestly won't have any problems with minor interference is what I was trying to convey. As far as driver placement I think he is on the right track by testing. Definetly don't forget to try different phasing. Especially if you are seperating the drivers. I would hope you approve of my setup Sean, as you helped me set it up and choose the drivers.

I vacuum seal for the freezer whenever I cut up a prime rib into rib-eye's. They are good to go, no freezer burn. Same as they come to most resturants. After growing up on elk and deer meat that sat in the freezer for years though, I am pretty picky in my older age.- Welcome to the IHoP

I don't get any reflections with this setup. Thanks to driver selection and mounting location I honestly only eq down a smidge at 2k hz. I think this is more due 2k being the freq we are most sensitive to than anything. As Sean said don't plan on the eq being part of the install as it is there to dial in after install. Boost should only be used for a big dip in the FR.- Exodus Anarchy 4 ohm Mids

I went through this whole debate. Placement is everything, so yes better up high. EQ'ing is the last resort in my book if you understand the way the human ear perceives sound and follow the things you know about accoustics during install then you have already awnsered your own question. I had a Sony deck years ago that had a setting that "raised" the sound of the front speakers in increments . The unit had three settings. Amazingly it actully worked, SO in theory I know you can use the eq to raise the correct frequencys but have no clue which ones. I just know that install will predict so much and the eq'ing is there to correct anomalies in you particular install due to driver characteristics , install limitations and accoustics after the fact.- Welcome to the IHoP
Picked up a pint of Crown today. I will NOT have another sleepless night , last night was rough.- Welcome to the IHoP
I did not go to the snow sculpture in Breck this year, but am stealing these pics from a friends FB. The cool thing to note in the pic ^ is the cube of snow in the background. This is what they start with.- Welcome to the IHoP

I will probly only watch my new TV 5 hours a week. Not that it won't get used more, just not by me. The Sony I will move to my room is only an LCD so should be perfect for a bedroom. I would of bought a plasma but the way my livingroom is set up I think the better side viewing of the LED will be nice. Plus I think I will enjoy the greater contrast in light to dark the LED offers.- Welcome to the IHoP
Advice for anyone driving over a mountian pass. The rule of thumb is drive down the hill at the speed you were capable of driving up.- Welcome to the IHoP
I would do the same thing. Brakes are far cheaper than transmission repairs. All the vehicles I own are manuals so I will agree to dis-agree. Brakes are almost a get to in comparison to the have to in replacing a clutch. WAY not fun. At this point I assume I am the only one in this debate that has driven over a mountain pass. Driving down a hill in forth instead of fifth will NOT speed up the wear on a clutch. On the other hand we have run-away ramps for ppl that ride their brakes for to many miles on downhill grades.- Welcome to the IHoP

The funny thing is Grandma has everything labeled for who it go's to when she passes. Just pick it up or look on the back side and there is a note with a name. She is leaving me her Buick so I may own an auto someday.- Welcome to the IHoP
What's even worse is those same people telling you how to drive when they're passengers in your car ..."You know you're going to wear out your clutch and transmission if you do that" "I thought it was illegal to use engine brakes" "This is why I hate standards. The transmission slows your car down so much and you lose so much fuel economy trying to overcome the friction of the tranny" WE drive the Wifes grandma home every fall to Arizona. The Wifes aunt drives her extra car to gma's house in the spring and drives gma's car back here. So we are on the way to aunties to get gma and her Buick and I bitch all the way to auties about how ppl drive auto's, bc of some dildo on the hill leaving our house. So whats the first thing the wife does leaving the aunts house. Throw it in OD and ride the brakes for 5 miles to the interstate. I must of said something about it and the fight was on. Glendale area right? I can't remember any more LOL BTW I will be hitting you up this weekend to set up a time frame. Once leave is approved, I am buying tickets. J Grandma is in Cottonwood (Sedona area). I have been saving that rant since august. lol Whenever you are ready brother. Just PM if I am not on at the time.- Welcome to the IHoP
Yes led is the way to go, you will like it. Just my 2cents, maybe for a bit more the 65 may be the way to go if you have the room. Thank you Sir Neal. I am leaning towards the LED anyway's, just wanted someone to convience me. I think the energy savings will pay for some of the cost difference anyway's.- Welcome to the IHoP
