  1. The new Serta is in my bedroom! The mattress measures 17" thick!. Now I think I am ready for bed.
  2. I am guessing horrible sounding because they where not powerfull enough to tune for the true lows, so you settled for the rearfacing for the added output of the BP effect of firing into your trunk. I think with 2000+ watts that this will no longer be a problem. IF you are after the TRUE lows that surrond you and pressurize the cabin without any colorization or audibleness then do forward facing with a low crossover point. (narrow the frequecy band you are giving the sub, via crossover*, to get only the TRUE lows without anything audible) *via crossover oposed to from the BP effect, with the cleaner signal=handle more power.
  3. Was working all weekend so I am a little late to the discussion. I think when most ppl say they 'hear' more output from rearfacing, what they are really hearing is coloration of the sound. True lows should be felt and not heard. when I was running only 5-600 watts I almost perfered the rearfacing too, ALMOST. NOW that I have upped the power I much prefer the super clean lows, and my brain will no longer except anything less. a side note, I have my BTL crossed at 50hz. SOOO much easier to get the true lows with more power and you can get rid of as much coloration as possible. I know you are set on the rear firing, and are just going over the details, but I still wanted to give you my opinion. Have you ever played with a 4th order BP box? thats always what a rearfacing setup sounds like to me, like the sub is in the next room and you are just audibly hearing and feeling what makes it to you. VERY colored in my opinion. I actully like the sound of BP boxes on some genres of music. eg. rap, house, techno, BBM, C&S. So thats why I ask about the BP. Very effecient. (had a BP in my last car)
  4. I just bought some 2 part ridged foam from the local auto paint store. I haven't used it yet but the package claims 10x expansion. The package also says that its made to fill body cavitys. The foam I bought comes in a double caulkgun tube, and I had to buy the crazy double caulkgun too. should make for easy body cavity filling I am thinking.
  5. This is what I used to ride, albeit optioned differently. Looks like a GT. I had a Haro
  6. TGIF, I still hurt from the concert last week.
  7. I am going for faithful sound reprodution, is the biggest reason I stayed with the IB. I did think the very small sealed enclosure boosted the low end alot, as the modeling program and higher Qtc had predicted. I think the biggest thing to remember is you are changing the FR of the driver when you go sealed. SO I suggest you try testing first with the drivers in question and decide if you like the new FR. Or run the driver through a model program, and try to reproduce the same results with the EQ, to see if you like the sound.
  8. Sleepin' in style tomarrow night TOP.
  9. As a matress salesman I thank you. You're spine and joints do too. I think the best money a person can spend is on a quality mattress, pays for its self over and over again. I got the Serta at American Furtiture Warehouse on sale, out the door for 1200. I pick it up tomarrow!!! I scored a new comforter at JCPenneys. They are on sale also. I got a pimp 300 dollar one for 130 bucks!! Even better, everything bought with cash. no CC. I already have a friend that will take my old mattress, SO I just have to drop it off at thier house on the way to the pick up my new one. Two birds with one stone FTW. The 460 drinks the gas. OMG I can't wait, all I did last night was dream of my new bed. COME ON TUESDAY.
  10. You may try building a couple test pods the volume you are suggesting sealing the driver at. This would let you hear how they sound compared to IB, BEFORE doing any work to your door.
  11. Google Spartan Warrior and see what you think? For a character? I was thinking "from the waste up" style to keep a logo shape and not get to long and skinny.
  12. These are a few ideas I thought of. A Spartan warrior holding "your" shield, draw in comic book, super hero style. NOT cartoony, but more the evil, realistic comics style. More like the "Heavy Metal" or "Resident Evil" style comics. Things to google: Worlord comic, Heavy metal comic, Resident evil comic. The comic book style works good on t-shirts because it has the colors already broken into shapes. The next Idea is a weapon with the shield on it. This could be as simple as a tank silhouette or as detailed as a handgun with the shield on handle. Things to google: tank silhouette, handgun The third idea is the shield with crossed guns behind it, like "skull n crossbones" style. things to goolge: handgun crossed, handgun shield, skull and crossbones Next idea, You could do the shield on or next to just about any image. an example. google: gun shield. There should be a gun with a Raiders shied next to it. REMEMBER these are all just ideas to help you spawn the idea in your own head. I can rattle off ideas all day, SO lets just keep narrowing it down. I can make just about any idea look badass, but it does no good if its not what YOU want. example: I have covered beautiful, AMAZING tattoos on ppl just because it wasn't what they wanted, but it was what the artist sold them. As you can see I am thinking in the direction of how to use the shield. SO let me know if maybe there is something in another direction you would like to explore?
  13. This is good info. I googled and understand what you have now. "Death Dealer holding shield" I assume that the shield must be incorporated in to the design? I will also explain better the services I am trying to provide. If you hadn't figured out I am a Tattoo Artist. I spent countless days picking peoples brains to help them think outside the box to spawn thier own idea's. I have a vast library of images in my brain to work with SO its more about what the customer wants. I work generally in two mediums of art, pencil sketches and flesh. The service I am mainly trying to prove is helping YOU spawn the idea YOU want. I will draw a "Proof of Concept" pencil sketch for you if need be, but thats all it would be is a sketch. I know the design has to please alot of Homey's SO its gotta be palatable. I assume you are more after realisam style of art, but could be wrong. Realisam=photograph. This style of art has the greatest attention span. Other than that I assume you are after masculine, something that says "strength". I will keep brainstorming and you do the same. Every idea you feed me will help me help you.
  14. Sounds like you are open to idea's. It will probably be a day or two, but I'll sketch something up in my free time and post for you.
  15. Since you don't know what you want, how about starting with what you DON'T want? That will narrow things down for me.
  16. The thing with silk screening is that multiple colors cost more money. That is probably the limiting factor on colors. NOT colors of shirt, colors in the design. I looked up the Spartan Warlord. My first vision is to do a capital logo, with a spartan helmet above it. NOT generic like it sounds, but negetive space lettering with a graffitti style boarder around it (letters connected). Then do a Spartan warlord from the shoulders up coming off the top of the writing( comic book style). Do the helmet with the evil eyes. This could be done real easy in one or two colors. I am liking shirts printed with the art on the bottom side, or coming off the shoulder.
  17. Oh shirts!! How many colors are you looking to do? What kind of design or style do you guys have envisioned? where do you see Placement of logo and/or art on the shirt? I already know the when and why. Awnser my questions and I am sure I will have a couple more, BUT I can personally draw it for you. I just don't want to waste my time drawing things you guys don't want.
  18. Thats some great footage!! The skeleton in front of the van does an awesome walk!! The mummy does pretty good too!! I didn't realize that statue was so big, from the pics you posted in the HOP. RAWR!! I am loving the giant Zombie, he's gotta' scare a few kids!! I tried spying your Birks, but your white legs blinded me. Is that Gargoyle a puppet or animatronics? You guys really have ALOT invested in the Spook!! Keep up the KILLER work!! :fing34:
  19. What job do you have?
  20. Bought a new bed yesterday. Suppose to be here tuesday. I can't wait! I bought a king size Serta Euro Top. OMG is this bed plush. Right now I have a king size Beautyrest I bought about 10 years ago, was plush up until about a year ago. The technology mattress companys are using now is insane. My Beautyrest was top of the line 10 years ago and now its more like middle of the road. OMG I can't wait, all I did last night was dream of my new bed. COME ON TUESDAY.
  21. OUCH!!! Jackass.
  22. Nice lookin' box!!! I recommend wood blocks between the box and rear deck. Pull the cover off the rear deck and screw through the deck, blocks and into the box. The rear deck will instantly be solid. As far as the screws, you should put loctite on everyone as you reinstall them. Why no beauty panels to hide the foam? Keep up the good work and pictures!!!
  23. Does the 6.5 Bose play fullrange or midbass? Are you going to run passive or active?
  24. Concert review: The show was in a college hockey arena, So indoors and medium sized with steep bleachers. The Sound Reinforcement was taken care of by line array of overhead cabinets on each front tower of the stage. (except Slayer, more on that below) I counted 16 cabinets per side. As you would expect from any seasoned big name act, the monitor and sound engineers where on their game. Everything sound accurate with no real noticable feedback. I usually like to listen from near the mixing board, (other than when I am moshing) I find the sound best there. On to the artists. Testament was the opening band and was already on stage by the time I made it in. Althought I didn't really listen to much Testament growing up, I always enjoy clean live music. Their drummer was really dialed in and well mic'ed. I could hear the snare drum so clearly and the double bass was brutal. The string instruments where well defined also, as was the singer. Chuck Billy is a screamer. Megadeth came on second and was instantly a crowd pleaser. Dave Mustane was drilling out the power chords everyone has grown to love and respect. once again the sound was on the money. Dave tore through all the classic hits from the "countdown" and "Rest in Peace" collections. FINALLY , Slayer was the headlining act!!! The Sound Reinforcement was upped. Slayer also had 18 Marshall Cabinets on both sides of the drummer. 3 high and 6 wide. So 36 total.TALK ABOUT A WALL OF SOUND. The bass was heavy enough to make my nostrils flutter!!!!!They started with their newest hit "World Painted Blood" and rolled into such classics as "Hell Awaits". Tom Araya's bass guitar was pounding out the rhythm section and he was very carismic about what he was doing. On to the CARNAGE. After all thats what this show was suppose to be all about. Testement had a small pit going the in the front for their show and ended with Chuck Billy deviding the crowd in half like the Sea and demanding each group of people demolish each other!!! I had been back where my W was hanging near the mixing boards until this point, BUT quickly took advantage of the open pit. I was to the front rail and back several times and helped several ppl up. Megadeth started with two medium pits right off the bat. I hung on the edge of the farther back pit SO I could see real well and here Dave play. About half way through the set they broke out with "Symphony of Destruction" and the crowd went nutts. The pits where slick by now from all the spilled drinks so it was crazy. I seen alot of ppl hit the floor REALLY HARD. LASTLY Slayer was just ONE BIG PITT for about the first 50 rows!!!!! I moshed my way to the front (or as close as possible) after a couple songs and spent the rest of the show FIGHTING for 3-4 row center stage!!! I now feel like I was ran through a meat tenderizer and have a bruised sternum. I am sore from head to toe and eating Advil. My W chipped an Acylic nail and I was a jackass and wore my Oakley GasCans inside and lost them, but came out with a pair of someone elses Cheap Sunglasses.
  25. My old man would love this POS. His favorite color is canary yellow and he's from WAAAAY back when car/trucks where popular. He still has a 4x4 Toranato he built in the 80's.
