Fiberglassing the Inside
The way that fiberglass weakens MDF is , The fiberglass resin soaks into the top 1/8 inch of MDF and that 1/8 is brittle while the rest of the MDF is still soft. NOW what occurs next is the MDF no longer has ANY give between ITS OWN layers and WILL start to seperate. MDF by its self is NOT brittle, Fiberglass in thin layers is VERY BRITTLE, The two materials have different attributes. Both have a use in this world, BUT you will gain absolutely NOTHING from using the fiberglass in an enclosure. The correct way to make an enclosure SOLID is to use internal bracing. AS stated before, you should read my summary at the end of my "rambling" thread.

I DID get the final layer of fiberglss resin and fabric on ALL 4 pods today, but then I went to work on MY DAY OFF and started a new tatt on my wifey. This is on the under side of her upper arm. ALL of the hair will be shaded as will the rest of the picture also, we just ran out of time today.

J-Roadtatts Honda Accord Build
I have the BTL filtered @50 hz 18 db slope and hitting the LOOOOOOW's BABY!!!!! SO the TRUE MIDBASS will be right where I want it,hehe.

J-Roadtatts Honda Accord Build
I have already fell back in love with metal and rock with the BTL and ONLY having front speakers, I hated how metal sounded with my last set-up. I have some temp 10"ers in there now with the type-r tweeters and it already has decent midbass with them just sitting on the floor, free air. I can't wait to get the Aura's in.hehe.

The Koolest thing is that there will only be 5 speakers total, should be easy to tune.hehe.

Welcome to the IHoP
Needs more rubber Are those 31's ? Or 33's ? They are 34x10.5's, I will probably put 39's or 40's but maybe only 37's We will see. The first part was to built the "beast" SO it could handle that big of meats!!! i.e. 1-Ton axles, but still need lower gears. Right now the springs are only 4" lift, but I made custom spring mounts SO its closer to 6" right now. ALSO there is NO body lift BUT I cut the bottom 6 inches off of the body is the reason IT lOoks so tall. I need to build tube nerf bars. I plan on installing little flater and longer and softer front and rear leaf springs probably first (the reason for the custom adjustable spring mounts), then I will see what Tire fits best. Wow, the body sure makes the tyres look small No body lift is the way to go ! What kind of 1-ton axles ? Front looks like a D60 Chevy...+ 14bolt rear ? your on it. Yes the front is D60 Chevy and 14 bolt full float w/detroit in thr rear, the gear ratio is only 4.10s. Fuck, this thing is a money pit. SO fun to drive though, its a convertable, a hot-rod and a 4-wheel drive all in one. I'd love some full-width's under the Cherokee Or even an old Bronco for fun. The original Bronco's from the early 70's are SUPER KOOL and have a good aftermarket following. I was givin the blazer about 7-8 years ago as a bonus from a good friend I worked for several years, he still has another one thats SUPER CHERRY, he calls the other one "beauty". I guess you could say he got old and out grew my blazer. I have known the guy since I was 16 also, was his roommate and use to drive the "beast" before he gave it to me. He is a fuckin' Redneck SO that explains what I had to start with, I have spent years un-rednecking it and beefing it up.hehe. getting it for FREE has made it easier to spent thousands of dollars on it.hehe. The cherokee's are so light in weight, they are good off-roaders.

F150 Lightning build up.
This method of building pods is also nice IF you don't like the "volcano" look you get from stretching fabric method.

IAK needs an "IHOP"
I suggest using the ISO holes in the HU to mount, like the factory one was. THEN the thieves have to remove the dash to steal your shiz instead of just pulling it out. Just a thought.

1995 Chevy Suburban
The M2000's are a steal watt per dollar wise, plus they are a solid amp to boot. the SAZ was on sale the week after I bought my M2000, other than that I'm happy with it. YOU will be stoked if you get that DC alt. from Rank, I installed mine a couple weeks ago and could feel the gain. Gotta have POWER to make POWER!!! I am VERY happy with the DC alt.

The 30 year old t-shirts are just easy to work with, these where my mother-in-laws from the early 80's and I inherited them when she died. SO you could say she is living on through the pods.

J-Roadtatts Honda Accord Build
the dash pods are about 8" x 4" x 4" with the slope following the windshield line. this is a shot of the bottom sides.... you can see where the vent hole will be, this vents into the factory tweeter hole..... heres the vent hole cut out..... this is the right pod, because of the angle of the speaker, I had to form this bump imto the pod to clear the magnet.... NOW the test fitting.....
