  1. Budget is about $200. I've had my eye on the fosgate t2 component set and would give them about 100 rms ea. Only other component set I've had experience with is the zapco i6 set which I wasn't excited about. I'll leave the rear speakers alone then. I have about 30 sds cld tiles left over from my Tahoe build so deadening the doors will happen. I'm not 100% sure I know how to do that properly. The way I did it in my Tahoe was use the tiles to seal up all the holes in the metal to seal the door but I didn't notice shit after I did it. Felt like a waste or I just did something wrong?
  2. I have been trying to plan out a complete system for my new 2011 malibu. I own 2 sa12s so those will be my sub stage. Amp I have my eye on a crescendo bc2000. Slight electrical upgrades will follow My situation... I want a clean front stage, my systems to date have all been drowned out by bass and I don't want that for this build. Although I'm not willing to do any heavy modifications.. I will be using stock locations. Doors take a 6.5 and there is a tweeter cutout in the pillar so a component set is what I'll do. Rear speaker cut outs are 6 x 9s I don't plan to seal off the trunk from the cab at this time.. maybe after I've got a system in there and play with it but I don't want to. Will replacing those rear speakers do anything for me? I see alot of people around here who say rear speakers is a wste of money. Will 6 x 9s in the back help me at all and since they share the truck space with the subs will the underneath pressure hurt them at all? My main concern is ruining the resale of this vehicle with a complex install. I don't want to cut and drill into it everywhere for this install. Anything you guys can add to this would help me, I'm in the planning stage and Im trying to plan this right.
  3. Those sa12's aren't too shabby. I've had 1 running in my truck for several months till just recently. I did a 1.7 cu ft tuned at like 30 hz and it seemed like a tighter basss but then built one about 2.25ish at 30 hz and it got alot louder on the low notes. Seemed to move more air in the bigger box. Both were ran off an audiopipe ap1500d at 2 ohms which as its written is 900 rms. I came to the conclusion I'll do at least 2 cu ft per sa12 in any future setups. And I just bought a match for the one I had and plan to put them in my new vehicle. Not sure I was any help but that's just my own personal experience your results will very Im sure
  4. Right on that's what I wanted to hear. Thanks
  5. Right on that's what I wanted to
  6. You get a jump and it shows normal voltage..your starter and alternator work.. have you thought your battery took a shit?
  7. Alright, I honestly don't believe in breaking in subs usually. I've never done it with anything I've owned and never had a problem. Well I just placed an order for a second sa12. I currently have one I used by itself for probably 6 months so its nice and loose. Plan is to pair it up with the new one...will I have any issues since 1 is nice and broke in and the other will be brand new? Will I need to loosen up the new one first or will it just happen on its own over time?
  8. I can only chime in on the older UFO style. There monsters! As for power handling you should be fine if you do things right. From what I hear the newer n2 has a bit less motor force. That's about as far as my knowledge goes. I love my UFO style btl and wish I could still buy them new ( to match the one I have)
  9. Your looking at 2 completely different subs there. Might want to post what your looking to get out of the system first. What's your budget?
  10. I needed to buy a match for my lonely sa12. This deal hit at the right time. Order placed. Thanks ssa/sundown

    Lmao
  12. LMAO true about several people around here lately
  13. Tits are good. Tits and car audio together is better
  14. These deals are haunting me! I've always wanted to give ia subs a try but they were too expensive...but now...daaaaamn. don't even have a vehicle to put them in but 2 dp 12's are calling for me!
  15. Hell of a deal. So this deal is a no go till ups sorts everything out? Did I read correctly?
  16. Ithink I have decided to go another route. I have no way to get a picture of the alt in the car really without going to the dealership, since I'm 99% sure I'm not getting the cruze not sure I'm going to do that. I appreciate your response.
  17. Your the 4th person to tell me that. Something to think about for sure
  18. I don't have the car. I looked at it and figured out I could afford one so it got me thinking. That particular one had a pop up screen on top of the dash, had ugly brown interior but a nice ride for sure. My dad does finance at a big Chevy dealership so if another one comes thru I may jump on it. If not then the next 2011 v6 Malibu that I find the way I want it I may swoop on. At least with the Malibu I have several options. Dash kits/ alternators have all been created for em. It would probably be a heartbreaker to some putting the system I want into a caddy like that. Who knows just trying to understand something before I get into it. Appreciate the info.
  19. Nice looking site. Should probably use a picture of a real power drill. Dewalt is just a kids toy. Lmao sorry ongoing battle I have with the dewalt guys at work. I see a yellow drill and i have to run my mouth I'm a makita guy :-) very creative as always
  20. Hmm. Thanks for the response. Can anyone else add to this?
  21. I need some info on these things..I've ALWAYS added an after market head unit to all my vehicles in the past. I've always though that is the best way if you want a good system. Well, I have the chance to uby an 08 Cadillac cts. Clean as hell and would be by far the nicest vehicle I've ever owned...but I'm a bass head. So questions would be.. If a clean sounding, hard hitting system is my goal will the LOC be the wrong purchase? Maybe I have the wrong idea about these things? If an after market setup was available I wouldn't even be typing this but as far as I can tell it doesn't exist. Appreciate anything you guys can add to this, its killing me that not being able to put the system I want in this vehicle will keep me from it.
  22. Im looking to buy a Cruze but want to be sure I can put the system in it I want which would require a HO alt. Can't find any listed so my question..can it be done? Any information from you guys would be appreciated.
  23. an alternator for this vehicle isn't listed on the site. Can it be done? Has it been done? Thinking of buying one but want to be able to put the system I want in it so the alternator is a must. Any info is appreciated. I can't seem to find anything anywhere of quality.
  24. I had 2 different camaros in those years, a 94 and 2000. Never went crazy with any of the systems. Never wanted to give up my back seats and there isn't much space in the back. I had 3 JLs in a sealed wedge box in mine...I always thought it was loud bouncing off the back window. If you plan to compete then I would plan on building in the back seat area. Use the trunk for amps and batteries. Good luck and post'pics if you go through with it :-)
