  1. ficaraudio.com . BL is a line of their subs, you will see on their website. big 3 your gonna have to do a search, pretty easy but im in a hurry and gotta run. sure someone will tell you here.
  2. check out Fi's BL's. If you ask me a BTL would give you what you want but 2 15" BTL's will put you over budget. as for amps look at sundown's.
  3. looks like there still might be one for sale here from a member.
  4. 15" Q installed! sounds decent. its no BTL but didnt expect it to be. box is 3.37cu ft, tuned to 33.21hz. double baffled and braced with 1" dowels. fits in the back and my seat is where im comfortable. Took a 20 minute drive to play with it a little and ended up blowing a fuse lol. i got those cheap ass 60a or so glass fuses which im going to replace for sure. Ended up spending about $75 for wood and supplies. still need to go out and get a few fuses to replace the ones i got, and i need a can or 2 of that stone looking spray people use on their boxes. Just want to thank everyone who gave me hope for fitting this thing in my truck. i didnt think it could be done. next up.. big 3 in this truck, ill take a few pics of it tomorrow and show you guys.
  5. as for power the sundown hits right at the rated power for the xcons (1750 ea x 2 = 3500) . zapco is one hell of a product though, its up to you. i would LOVE to have that zapco you got, but for powering less of course. up to you, for 2 xcons i would use the sundown 3500
  6. another question.. wouldnt a 250a alternator be able to handle a few battery's better than a stock one? he said he has a 250a im very curious about this topic as well. sorry for thread jacking into this one lol.
  7. can you explain this? why not an alternator, dont alternators put out the same as a battery charger?
  8. i was always told to fuse to the wire, could be wrong but if your cable can handle 250a then fuse with 250a.

here's just a quick one i found, sure you could keep it under the back window if you had to. , that is if you run 1 18". this is only to give you an idea of the space, if your cool with it then just go out and do it man.

2 of em.. sure you could but the box will be huge in that thing. I havent seen the back of your vehicle in along time (parents used to have one). again, find out how big of a box you need and go outside with a measuring tape and get an idea of this box, if you want 2 18's then go ahead and say bye-bye to the entire back area. you looked on youtube or anything? i think i remember a guy on there having an 18" btl or something in his blazer, maybe that will help give you a rough idea of how much space your usin up.

you should be able to get an 18 in your vehicle, it will be a big box, do you plan to build your own box? going to have a shop make it? what i would do is play with the re calculator. I wouldnt use it on your final box but use it to get some dimensions of what your going to need. possibly see how much of your cargo will be needed before deciding on a 15" vs 18". i dont doubt you can fit an 18 back there, but just think you should get an idea of the box size before you commit to it.
  12. ive heard nothing but wonderful things about the xcons, but havent been lucky enough to hear them in person, as far as the btls, 2 of them will for sure give you some flex lol, sure the xcons will give you that aswell. 2 great subs
  13. im jealous... nice sub
  14. smashedz28 replied to jaymoung's topic in Fi Products
cant speak on the ssd, dont know anything about that. the Q is more of a 'sq' oriented sub, BL and BTL are the spl oriented subs. sure ssd is between the 2 somewhere ? lol the q can sound awesome though, ive heard the 12 " version of the q and loved it, soon ill have the 15" version i have installed and i can comment more on it. damn nice sub imo
  15. smashedz28 replied to jaymoung's topic in Fi Products
$300 or so for a used 15" Q sounds steep. i picked up one a while back off craigslist for $120. it is the older generation, but still in great shape. good luck.
  16. 40.1 is sold here at the ssa store.
  17. damn, i started reading this topic and was blown away by the system build.. now all this frame work.. shiiiiiit system was cake for you lol, this shit looks hard man, great work ill be tuned in for sure.
  18. so far $0 spent. ill need to buy some wood, sure no more than $40 at the very most. and ill be paying bromo $10 for his design. I still hate this fosgate amp i have but after ripping everything out and checking all my connections its doing alright for me now, ill use it. plus its gonna work great for this sub since the sub is D1 and the amp makes its 1000watts at 2 ohms.
  19. got my request in for bromo, thank you man, should have this design shortly and ill get to buildin
  20. got that right, 22" height and 14" depth i have to work with, width is where it can vary. need about 4 cubes tuned around 30-32ish i would say for the 15" Q . had to go out and measure in the dark after seeing that damn picture lol. im one of those RE calculator guys, someone check this out, its as close as i could get it, but i hear how off that calculator can be not 100% sure about taking into consideration the displacement of the sub, would i just subtract the displacement from the box volume? Also Fi's website says the displacement is 0.19cuft. i assume thats for the new generation Q, mine is the older gen. If someone could help me with that i think ill be able to knock this one out no problem.
  21. check this shit out lol, diggin thru the forums i run into this... My link same year s10 and everything... it is possible and it looks damn easy!
  22. yea, already planned on the false floor, its the angle ill need to clear the seat and get a port in there. straight cuts is no problem, its the angles that worry me. ill get some dimensions and maybe someone can help me get the right degree angles made, a sheet of mdf isnt expensive, i have everything i would need except a table saw (would have to use the ole craftsman 19.2v circular for that) would sure be cheaper to buy the wood and get that 15 i already own in there rather than buying up another sub or 2 to fit a design im stuck on lol. Your almost motivating me...lol. thanks
  23. i believe it could be done also. just dont think I could make the box. would need all types of dips and angles to use up the needed airspace. Tomorrow ill get some dimensions, im curious to see what you mad scientists can come up with would be nice to have that s10 sounding good but it is only a work truck, my real system is in my tahoe...broken down tahoe lol. appreciate everything guys, ill post back with some dimensions tomorrow.
  24. made it out there, did not get measurements but I was able to get something that will hold me over till i find another job and buy what i really want for it. Ended up using all the same equipment but changed the box with another i had sitting in the garage. I did take a few pics though ill share. the space im working with amp terminal and just the 15" Q sitting behind the seat (no way that thing will fit in there lol) camera died as i was doing this so no pics of what i ended up putting in there, its a big ass box surprised i got it to fit and still sit comfortably. I did have to remove that tire jack in the middle. M5, as i was out there i kept thinking... 'wtf is he talkin about?.. nut and bolt thru the amp.. think i understand now, bolt going all the way thru and use a ring terminal for the ground wire and attach it under the terminal?.. thats the only way that made sense to me.
