ChaosWarlord26's Dodge Ram Truck Build
Alright everyone. I just completed another show today. I ended up placing 3rd again. This time it was 3 back to back rounds with different mic placements, and everything was scored on average. (no Peak Hold) There were a total of 39 competitors there today with 6 in my class. I was able to average out a 136.8 with music and secure third place. This was all done with the single SSA 15" Icon. Now let me say this I have most certainly abused this sub. I have been giving it 1500watts rms to it 100 watt rating. The coils have heated up quite a bit a couple of times but this thing is still kickin. Also prior to the shows for the past couple of weeks I was able to get my Big 3 done but no pics. Well wait no longer here are the pics.

This build is looking awesome. I was thinking of doing some very similar things with an Astro. Good luck and keep the progress/pics coming.

subaru build w/ 2 15" dc
Seriously? Why bump a build log? There hasn't been enough traffic lately to move you off the front page in 2-3 days. Also why bump if not selling something? This isn't the for-sale thread. But of the better note I did love the end of the video where you mom came out. That's priceless.

ChaosWarlord26's Dodge Ram Truck Build
I have to say something about my score though. The first score of 140.8 was with music playing A Perfect Circle - Imagine. The 143.3 was a peak hold with a 36hz tone. If it was to be an average I probably would not have met my goal. Also the Icon's coils got a little warm trying to do a hair trick. So next weekend when I compete in the ranking show I will be swapping back to my old setup of 2- soundstream 15's wired at 4 ohm with 800watts. They will be able to take the three round averages better. Here is how the competition works. Ranking Show

ChaosWarlord26's Dodge Ram Truck Build
Ok everyone, I have finished box number 3 last night. This will be for the SSA ICON 15" D2. I should be receiving it today. Here are the pics and the specs to the box are in the previous post. Once again sorry about the quality I have is my cell phone. I didnot attempt to do the 45 degree cuts for the port because I did not understand how to calculate the port length with them. I can always rebuild another box later when I learn and feel more comfortable.

Alternator Voltage Help
ChaosWarlord26 replied to ChaosWarlord26's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / ElectricalThat was exactly what I was thinking. But now the problem is the search for the wire that he PCM gets it's voltage signal from. I may be over thinking this because it also makes sense that it would be one of the wires on the harness on the back of the Alt. itself.

ChaosWarlord26 replied to ChaosWarlord26's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / ElectricalAlton you are the man. Thanks for the link. I came across the potentiometer once in my searching but never found that link. It explains a lot. Thanks again.

Infinitely Baffled or Just Plain Confused
Thanks everyone. LOL on getting it metered. I already got called out for making pointless flex vids of an IB system. Hehe. Up next will be some deadening material for the rear deck and the trunk lid. Till then thanks for looking. Cheers I was just thinking since you had yours goals posted I thought you might want to see how close you were to them. I know I do. I always love the underdog with low budget making big numbers. I was that way when I first got into audio 10 years ago....wait I am still that way LOL.

Alternator Voltage Help
Lets start things off with the most info I can give. I have a 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 ST. It is a single cab 2wd with the V6 3.7L. The alternator is a 136 amp. The voltage regulator is built into the PCM. Now I am running a Soundstream PCX1500d and will be pulling the full rms (of 1500) during competition. I have a single run of 2/0 from front to back with 2 shuriken sk-bt60 batts under the hood. I am getting ready to do the big 3 any day. My current voltage is 13.8-14.1 on a normal day. When it is cold it will run 14.4. I want to increase my voltage to 15v. Now here is what I am currently investigating. I am in search of a wire diagram to find the feed signal from the alt to the PCM. Now my theory is that I can find a resistor of x size to make the PCM think it is running a lower voltage thus increasing my overall voltage. Now here are the questions. Is this first off just some insane idea I shouldn't be messing with or am I on a good starting path. Second what resistor values should I start playing with to change my voltage? Now keep in mind that this is just an idea and I am simply trying to get some external input. I have not done anything at this time to the alt. or PCM. Thanks.
