I have it in a Ported 3.5 Cubic Feet Box, tuned to 32 hurtz Sounds great. And on its loudness, i haven't heard any other subs before that are at this level, so i have nothing to compare too .

Ya i had some guy last night, Literally i had my system (its nothing special) playing 2/5 way up and he's smiling like cool shit dude. So i gave it some more power, and it was really thumping. And out of nowhere he just goes. WTF, WHY U PLAYIN THAT SHIT. i guess said, What?? idk, thats my first encounter with the bi-polar.

Now i don't condone riding through your nieghboorhood and constantly pound your subs just because your can and feel like being a meanie. I'm sure alot of you have tickets for loud music, but i was wondering. Have any of you tried to fight them, or just paid them? I'm thinking if the cop comes up to you and starts talking about the music. Aslong as you don't open up your trunk and just agree with him WITHOUT admitting to the crime, and lead the cop to believe you will just pay the ticket. Technically if you plan on defeneding that ticket you could tell the judge. I don't know why he gave me this ticket, but i'd never argue with a cop. -I was not playing really loud music as accused. Basically for the courts to give you a ticket, they have to be able to prove it<- The cop could not have any proof, if you did NOT admit to playing loud music while talking with him, (yes cops write down what you say whenever they're in their cars and your waiting) -Hence, they come up and say *Do you know why i pulled you over* , if you say 'ya i was travelling a little fast' , you just admitted to speeding. . . (same with subs, ya i had my music up a little) Anyways, if the cop didn't see any sub's and you didn't admit. I don't see any way that you could not beat that ticket. Sry for so much text but law takes explaining. What do you guys think?

I believe the juggernauts are pure SPL speakrs (or was that the Dreadnauts :/ ) lol The juggernauts slam real hard, but i ain't ever heard a Q. I'm thinking that it would be close to a SPL sub traded for a SQ sub. . But i'd take the opinion of someone who's heard both subs before mine anyday. -check the prices on a 15 jugg compared to what you paid for the 18 Q, - and check around some forums on what people say about the juggy-

Ya theres plently of room to face it down, in terms of excursion. So facing it downward in the trunk won't affect it at all mechincally. Because its facing directly toward a wall with not much air space between. . . .

i was also wondering if i'm losing some 'hit' towards the inside of the car because its faced upward? If it doesn't matter which way it faces, and all different directions will give the same impact of bass for the passengers then i'll just leave it the way it is. But if it makes a difference then i'll rearrange my box.

Will it make a difference if i have the subs pointed toward a wall thats close in front of them? Or if theres alot of space between it and the next object?

Ya my box has 'feet' on it, Because home depot can't cut a dam board right lol There on the same side as the sub so it could face downward easily, hmm good idea lol. Also the port is on the same side as the sub. (front)

Not sure if this belongs somewhere else. . Okay, because i have a hugeee box for my sub that barely fits in my trunk of my crown vic. ya lol The sub faces upward toward the trunk. Whenever i turn up the volume my trunk piece flexes and moves like crazy. Although it doesn't sound as bad as those 200 watt shitty bass system that is just rattle. The previous owner of my car put some type of insulator in all of the cracks that would normally rattle in my car, not sure what he used. But the only thing that moves like crazy is the dam trunk hood thing itself. If i face the sub toward the license plate there would be about a minimum of 10" inches possibly more , between in and the end of the trunk. And closer to 2-4" inches if i face it toward the back seats. (my box has a lip on the end so the subs wouldn't be right next to the wall of the trunk) Does it matter which way i position my subs, or if they're close to a wall? I'd like to clerify before go aiming it at a corner, with my luck i'd break something of course . lol Any info. would help lol, could just be one of those things where i have to listen an go by ear?

Thanks for all the help guys,really. I wasn't expecting to see the amount of trunk and everything else in my car rattle . . . LOL Is dynamat the only option for that? Because that stuffs expensive!!! Someone mentioned that spraying the Rhino Liner liquid spray ? would work. Never heard of it. Mainly its my trunk moving. . . The fenders don't appear to be quite noisy at all.

Just bought a SSD 15 with copper coil. Had it for about 3 weeks before i was able to give it some real power. Originally i had it on about 250 watts, and it sounded very well for that. I was surprised really. So then i match it with a good partner, hifonics 1608d Hooked everything up and man did that sub slam. I gave it all of its 800rms and then some. And it still wanted MORE! Played very very nice, the more power i gave it up to its power handling the better the SQ got for me. I didn't completely turn up my amp but everything i threw at the SSD it took it with pleasure, it handled everything nicely and as much as i turned the gain up there was no distortion at all. For you people thinking about the Fi, If your just getting into car audio or maybe working on your 2nd system and want to SHUT DOWN YOUR FRIENDS without the competition level prices. This is the best option!! Thanks Fi, can't wait for my next upgrade. Mmmm. BtL

I loved to get a sundown ^-^ but i ain't in wal-greens livin in a perfect world. This is only my second system so i plan on upgrading after a few months and money saving. I went ahead and got the hifonics 1608d, got it for $175. didn't think i could beat that anywhere. (once i seen the p1500, i did really wana look into it but i alraedy had the other amp) The amp gives it i think either 800 or 925 i forgot the math i did but for the 30volts i needed on the channel i got it at about half way turned up on the gain/level. The sub slamsss, and can take soooooooo much more! I just don't really feel like blowing a voice coil :/ Fi SSD 15 5*/5* imo

I got a friend selling a Hifonics 1608D for $190 usd. Rated* 1600 rms @ 1 ohm. (i know it won't put that number up, but i don't need that much) This. . . Should run easy 800-1000 rms. . Should i get this. . or scrap hifonics totally.

I did ask if the two amps listed above were 'quality' enough to comfortable give it the 800-850 rms it needs. . . The 1200 rms hifonics should, give it 850 comfortable right?. I'm just checking, i'm *assuming* it should. Please correct me if i'm wrong. I'm here for your guys advice. -And yea, I AM A have to shell out a few bucks for the 0 gauge wire.

Ya most likely, he had my old system 2 Rockford Fosgate p1 (12s) , ya he was pushing them hard. SSD 15 is rated for 800 rms, so 800-850 should be fine. (i'm sure they can take more than that) An the hifonics should be able to do that without killing itself. Thanks for the advice man.

Ya its a daily driver, i don't realy want ANY strain on the subs, (Friend just burnt his voice coils so i'm a lil , scared) Aslong as the subs are capable of taking the power i'll give it to them, And that sundown looks badazzzzzz, but i don't have 270 currently, and i don't think i'll really need 1200+ rms going to the sub? Can it take that? Ya i can get a 1210D aswell. (the 1208, 1209, 1210 i believe is the year it is. 1209 = 2009 1210=2010.
