thanks for the encouragement guys, but I was not able to compete today. due to some system issues, i decided not to compete. that's ok, next season will be here in a couple of months so I will be at it again.

got the 9860,c701 controller and the h701. i will check my resources and try to find you one. i was going to use the 9860 and the h701 only, but keith turner told me to get the controller because it is a tad difficult to operate it without the controller

yes, you can use midbass in the doors and components (midrange) in the kick panels. just make sure that you try speaker placement first to see which location sounds the best. good luck!!

i agree. beware of spl competitors giving advice on sq systems lol Dude, I competed in iasca for sq for the last two years, just doing spl as a change of scenery. I know in my buddies truck he runs two sets of tweeters, as long as they are on the same horizontal axis and attenuated lower they work great. My buddy is the husband of Kristen from team image dynamics. that wasn't directed at you exactly...carguy is a beginner at this sport, so i think that he should hear easier options than running 2 sets of tweets. it's your car carguy, but as ramos stated, find someone with a good setup and a ton of knowledge to help you out before you do anything. I have help from people such as Joe Black(Iasca and Meca sq world champion,Keith Turner(one of the best tuners in the nation),Jeff Smith(one of the best installers/tuners in the nation),Will Reinholtz(Iasca ultimate competitor and sq judge) and if they are not available, I always have ssa members such as Ramos and Dave Edwards that can offer advice. I trust all of these guys to help because they all believe in simple solutions. Contact Dave Edwards on this site. He has a killer 2 way setup and could probably offer you some good advice. Good luck with the project and take some progess pics once you start.
