Welcome to the IHoP
Yep, I bought one of those for work. Fantastic saw. You can turn the saw stop off if you want to, necessary when cutting aluminum on the saw. Even if something is conductive it won't set it off unless you are touching it while cutting. On their normal hotdog demo, if the person doesn't hold it, and just rolls it into the blade it'll cut it in half.

I never ever use a circular saw at work, but that probably has to do with the table saw I have there.... When I'm other places and have to do sheet work, out comes my Milwaukee circular saw and a straight edge.

I've got a Skil circular, router and jigsaw already. I know this is such a horribly newb question, but this is the first time I have had to buy blades (always just used what was at my father's shop or friend's shops). How much should a good 7 1/4" blade run me, and whats the best style of blade? Thanks for all the help guys. This is really helping me make intelligent decisions. J Its been awhile since I bought one, but I would guess 30 bucks would buy a pretty decent one. If you want to just walk into a store and buy one, pick up a Freud Diablo, the red ones at Home Depot, not their best blades but for what you are doing they will be great. And by all means, when it gets dull and starts cutting poorly, get a new stinking blade.

If you just want to cut flatstock, a circular saw will cut everything you need. If you want to do miters, cove cutting, jointing, dados, etc, then a good table saw is a must.

Unless you want a small contractor saw, have to bump the budget up to around the 600$ mark. For 200$ and under what I would probably do is get a circular saw guide rail setup and a decent blade if you want to cut flat stock. Make a sacrificial table with a couple of saw horses and a sheet of MDF and you are ready to go. http://www.amazon.com/Clamp-A-50-50-Inch-Guide-T-track/dp/B0000DYV40/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1334095577&sr=8-1

Or give it to me for a day or two. Parts are worth more than that car, new studs for doing the heads are 600$ I figure if I fix it I'll have about 1k in parts by the time I do everything that needs fixed, and then it'll still be a 96 Cadillac with 186k miles on it. Fair enough and makes sense. Still would fix it for you if you decide. Fixing it isn't the problem, the money pit is though. Appreciate the offer though.

I want to drive that! Who am I kidding, that would probably make me shit my pants, I haven't driven a sled in ~8 years.

What takes your body 16 hours takes mine 6-8. Huh? Metabolism's a bitch or a blessing. Ryan basically said the same thing and imagine that has a similar propensity for gaining body fat to me. Body fat? Whats that?

Suggestions sir? I just really despise the whole Apple business plan. Jealous of it for sure, but nonetheless I don't subscribe to any of it. The nickel and dime me over time shit I just can't handle. That and having something that starts out slow already so that bloatware doesn't catch up to it is not an advantage. If you have to rip your shit clean periodically to "turbo" it that's fine. After I posted that last comment I actually stepped into the Apple store and played with a phone. The interface is nearly as slow as my nearly dead POS droid 2. If you test drive a 4g phone running the latest Droid software ANY of them will feel super snappy in comparison. I also truly think the Apple email program blows fucking goats. The Droid's isn't super slick either, but kills the Apple. I'd say the same about the internet experience also, but that is much closer to being a wash other than the Iphone just seems slow. Add to that the piss poor voice recognition as well and I actually don't understand why anyone would want one, applesuckers aside. Have no idea as a music or video server as I don't really use either. I'd bet its music interface is better, but I'd bet the opposite on the video experience just judging from its speed. May be the same or better though, I have no idea and don't use my phone for either. Priorities for me are: 1) Email 2) Phone 3) Internet 4) Anything else Android is the way to go. Especially if rooted and loaded with custom aftermarket firmware. Jailbroken iPhone could work also, but I wouldn't piss on Apple if they were on fire. I don't want to have to screw around with rooting and all that crap. I want to be able to buy something that does what I want to without screwing with it. I have two jobs that involve modifying premade stuff to do what I want, and I don't want to have to do that on my phone. I haven't played with an iPhone next to any new droid, heck I haven't played with ANY new droid newer than a 1+yr old Samsung Nexus. If their email program sucks that bad, that pretty much knocks it out for me. Email is the only reason I still have a smart phone and haven't gone back to dumb phones.

I tried those shoes too, but my toes were to long for them. We used to run barefoot all the time, it made our feet feel less when licking through wood and blocks. It has been years since I have done any of that. I am either barefoot ar in my birks! Whenever I can be, I'm with you. I'm the opposite way, my feet live in boots.
