  1. LED accents? Hmm, it is a possibility, but it will kept to a minimum to remain classy.
  2. I think the Mag is going to go in the living room of my place, I don't need it in the car and would like a new HT sub. I will probably use a plate amp on it for ease of integration too, haven't decided yet, don't have the money around to buy one so it doesn't matter anyway.
  3. Now, I've never really done to much with getting a mirror finish myself, just haven't cared too. This is quoted from a member (shinOBIWAN) on diyaudio.com and his method for getting a mirror finish. It will give you a good idea as to what you have to do to accomplish what you are looking for. Some notes: You have to use good quality sand paper, otherwise you are going to beat your head against the wall. Take your time, if you can feel something with your hand, you will notice it in the finish, no way around it. Don't rush.
  4. What material are you starting with? It will involve sealing the base material, sanding, primer, sanding, color, sanding, more color, sanding, color, and probably more sanding. A true mirror finish is something that takes quite a bit of time to accomplish.
  5. Construction top!
  6. Ok, this summer I'm going to be building a bar for the house, just a standard ~6' long dry bar w/ a mini fridge in it. Does anyone have any tips as to neat features to incorporate into it? It will probably also have shelving up to for liquor, cabinets and fridge in the bottom, granite top, and the wood will be walnut.
  7. Didn't mean to do the double post...
  8. The topics are random... The discussions seem to get rather technical though.

  10. What did you end up with for an amp? I use to have some on a futon while I lived in the dorms. Women seemed to really enjoy watching movies on that futon... I had mine powered off of a ART SLA-1 amp, 100w was enough power with headroom for one of them. They were a neat toy, but I want something more than just my butt shaking for the low end on movies.
  11. The thread or the forum? The forum is for audio, the thread is for random bs'ing between members.
  12. Last night something hit me out of the blue and now I'm stuffed up and have a headache. Kinda interesting that another guy I know has the exact same problem, and it hit him yesterday afternoon/evening too.
  13. I've noticed my hearing is degraded and I have trouble understanding people when there is background noise. I believe it is from machinery and equipment. I don't have excessively loud stereos and wear plugs while shooting, but I haven't always wore ear plugs/muffs while working. Now though if I'm doing anything loud in the shop I have a pair of ear muffs on my head. It is just a pain in the ass to have to have people repeat themselves when there is to much background noise, but it might be the fact of selective hearing, although even when I try and focus on them it doesn't always work.
  14. Ahahahaha. Nice to see someone has a sense of humor.
  15. I think Scott from Fi says its supposed to be 20x VAS For true IB, Qts=Qtc. Generall regarded though as 10x Vas idea but 4x and above you can accomplish it, although it won't be true IB.
  16. Tons of customers working on Bio-devices. I'm looking to get out of Nursing, and I'm looking at a school that offers Biomedical electronics. I'd really like to find out how I would get in with a company who builds MRI or CT machines though. Travel around and install those. I really don't know where to turn though. isn't that what finebar does? Can't remember, haven't seen him around here in quite awhile though it seems like.
  17. I've made a few more pieces of furniture too, don't have photos of them though. This summer my new project will be a bar for the next house. Black Granite counter tops are going to go on it too.
  18. Yes, that night stand looks spindly in the photos, but it is damn strong and doesn't look bad in person.
  19. Random photo time... homework procrastination and time to grab a beer... The furniture I made, the truck use to be mine, we cut it in half, ran a driveshaft the ass and used it as an irrigation engine for 2 years till we went from flood to a center pivot on that field, and a random match pistol photo.
  20. I think 10x is optimal, but 5x works too.

those wheels are fucking disgusting, whoever put those on a General Lee should be ashamed x2 Tom, your true redneck side comes out with that comment.
  22. Me=pwned. Assignment over a book that I don't have, nor anyone I know of in this town has the book...
  23. Anyone worth a damn is either corrupted or gtfo before they get there...
  24. I would be very cautious about burning up that receiver using it at 2ohms like that.
  25. I have the 200 and the 400. Well, the 200 is in three pieces since it fell off of the bench while bolted on to the router. They work fairly well, wish they would have made them out of a little bit thicker plexi though.
