  1. Look good so far, nice work.
  2. Sitting in my cnc process class...
  3. Nope, haven't gotten a hold of checkering tools yet.
  4. It depends on what final load you would like. It is a good thing to know how to do on your own. With the dual 1 coils you can have .5 ohm or 2 ohm. With the dual 2 coils you can have 1 ohm or 4ohm. In a Series configuration, the total resistance is the sum of all the parts Rtotal=R1+R2+R3... In a Parallel configuration, the total resistance is the addition of reciprocals of the parts and then take the reciprocal of that. 1/Rtotal=1/R1 + 1/R2 + 1/R3...
  5. Looks fun, never been on the water besides a small pond on a flat bottom boat though...
  6. This is more of what I was asking about. Conversing in the IHOP is great, but clicking the post button as many times as possible I just don't get. I finished my whole install without posting once. There is enough information floating around that there shouldn't be half the dumb questions that there are. I did the same thing. I searched threads and other forums and found the info I needed before I posted anything. I think it was either my first or second post was my build log and that was after close to a year of being a member here. This is a great community to be a part of, but only when it is used correctly. Intelligent newer members! :bigclap: :bigclap:
  7. *goes to pull bacon out of the freezer*
  8. Simple, its not.
  9. Mmm, bacon.
  10. Ok, my brother has an '03 Seville STS w/ the factory Blows 'peekas in it. I've talked him into getting rid of the blows as much as possible. Now my question is how the hell does one integrate the factory HU into getting rid of the factory EQ/crossovers and into regular signals... JL Cleansweep the answer on this? It comes with 3 speakers in the dash (left, right, center), 8" in each door, and a sub. The center channel is going to disappear, just want 4ch for up front and a sub. I have some amps for him, I have a older 2ch US Amps and a small PPI 4ch that I'm willing to part with, I also have some of the 6.5" MLI-6.5's. Need something to get rid of the factory EQ/crap in the signal and a way to do crossover/eq on it. Ideas are welcome. Budget is ~500 for the gear.
  11. I currently have no use for reloaded JHP's in .45 right now. The only use I have for hollow points now is what is loaded in there for defense purposes, and that is only Cor-Bon DPX rounds for me. Everything else I shoot is paper/plates/etc. I'm curious to see if I can get a 180-200gr SWC in .45 to work well in my gun, that is what I would like to be shooting for paper/small knockdown stuff. I'm not trying to kill bowling pins currently. I see no reason to throw 230gr+ and a lot of powder out there. I'll probably be buying a press here in the next week or two, still not sure what I'm getting yet though. The Lee dies are easy to swap out, they are an 1/8 turn cam lock setup and seem to work fairly well.
  12. Yea, damn people are stockpiling. I see nothing wrong with it for most people but I bet the good majority of people will never even come close to shooting half of it in their lifetime. There is no way the administration can get a gun/AWB ban passed anytime soon, they realize that that there is to much of an opposition to that. Now taxing bullets and what not, that is a possibility, though I don't see it as happening soon either.
  13. Just ordered some .45 cal bullets, some 200gr SWC and 200gr RNF, hopefully ordering a press toward the end of the week.
  14. Looks good Tom. Did you guys fit those or did you have a shop cut them out for you?
  15. It'll entertain you for a while, but expect your stage to drop a few feet and you to be a little frustrated with how flat it sounds. Damn. Carputer I guess it is.
  16. Good smell
  17. If that is ceder that would smell amazing down there.
  18. It cracks me up, I have a 42" Sharp Aquos, upconvert DVD player, and some pretty decent speakers downstairs, but my roommate will still watch movies on the 19" cheapo tv upstairs.
  19. I have a netbook that I've seriously thought of doing a carputer w/ gps with.
  20. Looks good.
  21. Oh, and I'm looking for just music, I don't want any of the talk radio crap or need the sports channels.
  22. I just watched that movie yesterday.
  23. A buddy of mine has Sirius in his Jeep. Personally I love it. Good variety and only lose signal in underpasses and parked under metal roofs. J Not sure on if I get it, if I should get Sirius or XM, you know if there are any major differences? just burn CD's from mp3's. I do know some people that love it. Another great free/cheep option, is to use podcasts. You can subscribe and upload whenever you want. I would only use it if I couldn't find what I wanted on the internet. And I have yet to run into that problem. I'm tried of burning CD... Yea, lame excuse I know. What I would love to have is a laptop as a carputer with a WLAN card pulling Pandora and streaming that into the stereo... If a company could link pandora.com into a satellite radio station, people would pay good money for that, myself included. Make it so you set it up on a computer but can pull say, 6 stations off of your in car radio from pandora.
  24. Do any of you guys use Satellite Radio? If so do you like it? I'm thinking about getting some for the car, I'm putting 300mi on a week and would like some more variety in the tunes without using FM radio.
