Snow is great fun. I'm sad that this year I'm not driving a truck anymore, and am driving a FWD Cadillac. So much fun can be had in a truck when its slick.

If you want to reuse it you are going to have to take a saw and cut out a little bit bigger for the 12" then make a baffle to screw on top of that, make it as many layers as it takes to get the nightshade to fit.

Physical bracing will be more efficient. A cheap way to do bracing is use all thread, or use wood bracing, your pick.

Any typical lumber yard should carry MDF in 4x8 sheets, no using plywood will not make much of a difference as long as you aren't using just complete crap.
