We competed in that as well. i was thinking about that but you can use as many 10HP engines as you want (so long as you don't break the weight limit). We definitely don't have that kind of money here. We use 4 of them, and if I remember right, they are donated. What do you guys compete in over there?

Can't believe I forgot our 1/4 scale tractor team is in that list as well, they are surprisingly good and have won the international competition the last couple years.

Just remember to find someone who can weld that is on the team.

I'm pretty sure they have all graduated they did the mini baja the year before I came to Lamar are you insinuating that I am a toe stomper!?! Here at K-State every year or so they people in 'charge' of the teams change as people graduate and what not, but the main professor that 'oversees' it stays the same. It is a continual team that never really finishes they just compete, down for a month or two then start building on next years again, they have an area down in the ME shop area that is dedicated to them and that is where they keep their tools and have meetings and what not. The same goes for steel bridge, concrete canoe, formula car, and solar car as well. Just remember, there are quirky little pain in the arse rules to every collegiate competition, and although it may not be the best way to do things, they have to be followed.

Go find out when Mini Baja has their meetings and go talk with them. Just remember that your the new guy and be receptive of their ideas and input your own without trying to stomp on their toes.

I have spent a ton of time in Polaris buildings. I've spent a ton of time in pig buildings, does that count?

I know on our schools mini baja team they run a standard 2wd setup with independent suspension IIRC.
