  1. Not getting the aspect ratio quite to the ideal for the Fostex Sigma, fiddling with the line length, etc...I got them as close to each other as I possibly could but they're slightly off what GM and Scottmoose recommend. I've talked with a bunch of people that are running them off of 2A3 single ended amplifiers, which are 3 watts per channel. I'm using 8 watts and they get louder than I can stand in my apartment I've had mine on a QSC powerlight...
  2. Mmmmmm donuts...
  3. Crazy bastard.
  4. Went trap shooting tonight, it was great.
  5. Got the stock tightened back up.
  6. Think I'm going to go trap shooting tonight. Now I just need to find a damn screwdriver so I can get the recoil pad off and the stock tightened up.
  7. Oh Hello *in the best deep seductive voice*... lol
  8. And you drive a cadillac... I've driven a lot worse, and you can't beat the price I got it for. When the dealer was going to give them only three digits for it and it works just fine... And fixing it will be pretty much like a modern high end foreign car, even though it will probably break more often. But when the car was virtually free, and at 136k it has had almost zero problems...
  9. That would be the sales guy, get ready to be gouged. Yea.... wondering just how high that bill is going to be...
  10. Got a call back from Instron, and she is forwarding me to the guy that does the price quotes and what not.
  11. Heard of problems with the V fragging the IRS on it if you start modding it...
  12. I am almost scared to tear into that and fix it though...

  14. Most likely the reason I'll never own any modern high end foreign car, I have no desire to fix them and I most likely won't want to take them to somewhere else to fix them.
  15. Seriously, that woman form Instron had better get back to me sometime or I am going to become a pain in the ass.
  16. I personally prefer to buy from a camera company and not an electronics manufacturer. It is all in the lense, but as for which I'd have no idea at this point. Sony typically uses Zeis for the optics portion of the camera. I have a Sony Cybershot that works plenty fine. It even got tossed and landed on gravel concrete and still works good (save from some pictures coming out a lil blurry if your not steady) It is my understanding that it is some chinese or comparable lense with a zeiss name on it. I kinda figured it was...
  17. Yay for student loans, got this semester taken care of.
  18. Own is 18, purchase is 21, carry is 21.
  19. Surfing websites for a CZ-82 pistol.
  20. Sitting on my ass...
  21. Sitting around waiting on a phone call from Instron this morning...
  22. Cleaning boots? wtf? Something wrong with that isn't there... Yea, I'm trying to keep a 300$ pair of boots in decent shape, hoping they last ~20yrs... Dad has some that he has had longer than hes been married to Mom, and thats 25yrs, and he wore those daily in a machine shop...
  23. We have a couple of them, I don't have to much experience with them but one of our professors has written code for pulling data off and they seem to use them a decent amount.
  24. A couple of my employees used to be technical application engineers there, what do you need? Surprisingly enough I got in touch with a woman who seems competent. What I need is the copy of the old software that we had to run the digital front end on the 400k turret press that SATEC rebuilt in '97. The software is obsolete but I'm trying to get them to see if they have an old copy somewhere we could get, and if we can't she is trying to look up all the specs on it to see if we could even upgrade to the new software for the machine. The kicker is we need to have it operational by next friday. We could get it done by sticking another pressure transducer on the pressure bladder at the bottom and hooking it up to a Keithley data acquisition unit and get it to work for us but we want to fix it right and be done with it. In a perfect world we would get all servo control hydraulics with MTS gear on it instead of the old manual control valves, but no way in hell that could get done in a week. Acquisition and control are two very different things; glad you found someone who can help. I really doubt that I could find old software for you, but technical help I know I could. We can still make it go up but we have no way to read the data off....
  25. I've never had a problem with people asking my age in a gun store. For me anyway if you go in and ask intelligent questions, seem to know what you are doing and what not they have no problem with you. Hell, Cabela's has had no problem pulling match pistols (1,500$+) out of their show room cases and letting me dry fire them whenever they have them. Needless to say they normally comment that it looks like I've done that before when I'm done though...
