  1. Torque steer in a fwd car is interesting... All I've ever hotrodded is a rwd platform.
  2. Before I get to head to Topeka, I'm making a side trip up to KC to saw up a tree limb that fell on my grandmothers roof... Then I think I'll head to Heartland Park to meet up with Tom.
  3. Speaking of a straight 6 w/ a blower, I would still like to put a 6-71 Detroit in a truck for shits and giggles. Talk about loud and nasty.
  4. Straight six with a roots style blower on the side, interesting...
  5. I would definitely run a preamp with a DCX unit, that thing loves a hot input signal.
  6. Just look on audiogon, you can find some cheap ones there.
  7. Pssst, Sean has already bought them.
  8. I hope this is in reference to a carry/self defense gun only...
  9. Oh Snap!
  10. nice. have you handled one yet? i have yet to see one around here. tomorrow, tomorrow, my ruger mkIII will be here tomorrow!!! (with red dot, lol) wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Haven't been able to play with one personally, although I have talked to quite a few people who aren't new to guns about them and they all like 'em.
  11. any chance for the Chevelle? Nope, haven't had time to work on it this year.
  12. I'm personally looking pretty strongly at getting the Walther PPS for my CCW gun.
  13. I'd like to stay away from windshield tint and nothing to dark, but thanks for the numbers.
  14. Thanks Kent next step is window tint, anyone know a rough guess for for cost of tint? Never done it or priced it before.
  15. Wooden stakes, tent stakes, or the stakes used to kill Vampires? Theres a place here in town that has realllly good steaks, but everything else sucks.
  16. 1996 Seville SLS (wish it was the go-fast STS...), the red floormats were out of their old car so no, that color isn't suppose to be there. All in all I like it, rides great, nice power, comfy, only downside is I can't haul shit if I want to like the truck.
  17. Actually kinda excited about washing the car, it'll be the first vehicle I've called mine that actually looked good. First truck was an '82 Dodge 1/2ton, left side was all dented up (previous owners), then a '89 4x4 S-10, bad rust (a geyser erupted on it), then a '90 1/2ton Chevy, the infamous chevy paint job that falls off...
  18. Hmmm, anyone ever seen a Cadillac autocrossed?
  19. It revs the engine at him.
  20. And there is something inherently wrong with opening the hood and staring at a v8 that is sideways... Damn front wheel drive car, but hey, it rides nice and has plenty of power. The fricking information system tells you that you have hit Top Speed at 112, then it tells you that the fuel cut off has engaged...
  21. On the topic of Cadillacs, my grandparents picked up an '04 STS with 13k mi on it the other week, they have been driving Cadillacs for years and even they commented on how muich GM has been cheapening them up on the inside. Not as impressed with the quality of the interior as any of their other ones for sure.
  22. *chuckle*
  23. for getting to see the power tour and meeting Tom tomorrow
  24. The Cadillac doesn't have a CD player though... Might have to upgrade the sound system some time in it...
  25. So I'm no longer a beat up truck driving man... '96 Cadilliac, white 4dr, dark burgundy interior, 4.6L Northstar, 136k miles... I'll put some photos up later when I get it washed.
