  7. Avg starting Engineering salary in MN I would guess to be around $60k Once I get my degree a little later the pay will be up around that area.

  9. Kinda pissed a friend off last night when she was talking about what kind of job and money she can get with her degree and how her boyfriend just started at 29k being a graphic design guy. She made the mistake of asking me, so I told her the current plan is Nov of '09 I get 46k/yr w/ all the govt. benefits and retirement. And at that time I won't even have a degree yet.

  14. lol, that assumes I want to 1. get a masters in ME and 2. move to Kansas (no offense) but otherwise, that sounds awesome No offense taken. There really isn't to much here in kansas to look forward to in the first place.
  15. For work we just went and bought a 46" Sony Bravia LCD TV from Sears w/ the 3yr warranty. It is going in a 'mobile lab' box truck built on a International frame, will post pics up as we do a build up in it.

  23. That sounds amazingly awesome, but no, I haven't heard of anything like that here. At the end of freshmen year, I asked my adviser about a welding class and he asked if I wanted to change my major Art Heck, that's how I learned MIG... VT does a bunch of stuff like that, at least large scale projects...Formula team, the trailerable solar home that went to DC, the computer-guided Ford Escape... Yeah, I've considered looking for an art welding class, but I've heard that it's different from structural welding There are the SAE baja and formula teams here The art class welding here is WAY different from structural, more gas welding for making sculptures.

  25. Work down in the Civil Engineering lab as a student technician, boss is retiring and I'm taking over the lab so I'll be running it. I also do part time work as a tree trimmer, carpenter, welder, farm labor, sheet rock guy, car detailer, and general handyman.
