  4. The amish can generate their own power, they just don't want the power lines coming in, it brings in the devil. There are amish farms that have steam turbine setups running their entire shops, other places have full hydraulic motor setups on all their equipment too. Its not that they can't use any electricity, they just don't want the power lines running into their place.
  5. Ok, now that is awsome.
  6. That does seem like a good price...
  7. Good deal.
  8. You should be able to just plug it in, then right click on the desktop, properties, settings, then click something that says extend the desktop to the other screen or something along those lines. Then your background will appear on your second monitor and you can click and drag stuff over to it at will. If you maximize an application on it it will lock on that particular monitor but other than that its just like a big screen.
  9. Nice gift man!
  10. 18mm actually.
  11. Quite easily.
  12. Plans that are designed in metric and then converted to english piss me off too. I hate the metric system.
  13. God Dammit. Just got 90% of the lumber cut for my new speakers then I started looking harder and noticed dimensions don't add up right. Then I see in the top left corner under notes its drawn using 5/8" ply instead of 3/4". God Dammit. Now I get to redraw my own set of plans and probably not use most of the lumber I just cut.

  15. It appears I don't have enough room for 8's to work out well. I'm currently going to be building the Mileva ( http://homepage.mac.com/tlinespeakers/FAL/...-1v0-021207.pdf ) then see what I end up with after I finish that design. Good lawd a J-low scaled up to 8's would be massive (and massively cool too). I don't think I could fit it in my basement though.
  16. Crap, its snowing and I want to go build something in the woodshop but I don't want to unload the plywood from my truck.
  17. Just put the remote start in yourself.
  18. I just bought 5 sheets of ply and a gallon of Titebond II glue.
  19. Damn fine looking TV there.
  20. We have no problem with our '04 6.0L HD3/4ton
  21. I'd do a modded Duramax diesel with an upgraded Allison tranny in a HD 3/4ton fully loaded Chevy. I'd rather have the Ford in the diesel anyday, but both are rather overkill for pulling less than 4k lbs at most. Plus something smaller in the garage never hurts. Not many people around here has had good luck with keeping the 'strokers running past 100k miles without dumping some serious money into it. i've only heard of problems with the newer, smaller powerstrokes. the older 7 ltr ones seem to be ok. IIRC, but then again, it's a ford product, so i could be completely backwards on that, lol. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee I think it is the pre-93's that had troubles, my inlaws have run their last one to over 400k with no issues. The engine actually isn't a Ford product but a Navistar International one, but of course what would a semi-engine manufacturer know about making diesels compared to the General. All the guys here that have problems is the later model ones.

  24. I love snowmobiles.
  25. The fact that I don't think I have enough room to do it right. I'll still build them though.
