Reminds me, couple years ago a friend and I went down to Mississippi to shoot in a collegiate pistol match and took his '02 LS1 Trans Am. FYI: NEVER drive those in snow, it snowed from St. Louis all the way down to where we were going in Mississippi. On the way back we got a couple races, some SS Monte Carlo wanted to race (late model with the 3.8L), he flew by me and motioned to bring it, so I waited a little bit then mashed it and took hardly any time at all to catch up and pass him doing a buck twenty. He didn't want any more after that Then some guys in a Mercedes SUV tried to race, I think they just wanted to see us get up on it, so needless to say we did to show off. Raced a new body style mustang that weekend too, stayed dead even from about 60-100 when we had to shut it down from traffic.

I know for a fact that car had me in HP (probably by about 100hp), it had the 3.4L or 3.6L I think, it was a 3 something anyways. I think I've only got like a 150hp or something ridiculous like that, I had her till about 50mph then she pulled on me like crazy.

It was stupid, I went way to fast, but it was fun, and I'm glad there wasn't a cop there. My roommate swears my truck is faster than his, and hes got a '91 Chevy with the 350, and I've got the 305...

So going to the liquor store I raced a late model big v6 Nissan Altima and got beat by about a car and a half, with a couple of quite cute chicks in it. Didn't get any numbers though I drive fairly aggressively anyways and I accelerated to keep up with them a little bit going down one of the main roads in town, they they went past me, so then I pushed down on the loud pedal a little harder and got past them. Needless to say I was granted with a red light then and proceded to roll into the loud pedal pretty hard and noticed she had jumped on it so I put the pedal to the metal got the lead and was pulling and then she just pulled out in front and continued gaining. It was great, the chicks were giggling as I drove past and gave them a thumbs up (I was with my roommates who did the same). Oh yea, I drive a stock '90 1/2 ton chevy with the 305 and the auto. That got me pretty well stoked.

On the topic of pistol shooting, one of the fellows I know, retired military sniper, can hit a swinging steel plate at 80yds, with the plate diam smaller than a regular kitchen plate. That whole family is insane at shooting.

Preston, the orange stuff is called Dex-cool, look in your owners manual and see if it requests it or not. I don't know what year your Tahoe is so I don't know if it would use Dex-cool or not. The oil pressure is fine, and don't worry about having it overfilled a little bit either, won't hurt.
