I've heard that the Savages from wal-mart have troubles feeding the first round from the clip, and the Marlins that you find elsewhere, the quality of the stock is horrible. My boss bought a Marlin and its one of the ugliest guns I've ever seen.

Eh, the .17HMR would suck for killing people, the bullet isn't big enough. The .17 does pack a hell of a punch though for what it is. It'll put a clean hole through 10ga sheet metal, no complaints at all about the bullet except that wind plays hell with it. Now if it was an M1A SOCOM, that'd be a little different

I've got the CZ 452-2E model rifle. I like the rifle alot, the only thing I would suggest is that you buy a rifle with a heavy bull barrel, fluting would be a plus. My barrel gets HOT after ~20 rounds.
