Anyone got ideas as to good cables to use for DIY RCA and XLR (balanced) cables? I'm thinking of making all my own cables.

I'm a huge fan of Lab's so thats where my vote goes. I've a little experience with Beagles but from what I have had I wouldn't hesistate to get one.

Face it man, hes not trying to knock you. Dosen't matter how it happend, be it the gain was to high or you liked the volume knob to high. TO much current was pushed through the tinsel leads and they got HOT and went poof. That only happens with to much power.

I believe he is referring to the manner as to which the wattage is delivered not clipping. My understanding of it is when you load the amps that low the current increases more than the increase in voltage (current is the acutal flow of electrons, voltage is just the push). A greater increase in current than voltage is going to mean an even bigger increase in heat that has to be dissapated. *Although I could be completely wrong*

I've got my mp3 player on the lowest possible volume setting and its still louder than what I want in a quiet room... Had this problem with my last one too, maybe its because I'm using in-ear earbuds, maybe they are more efficent, I dont' know. I'll bet I'm in the minority of people who use mp3 players though, mine is to damn loud, lots of people around campus have them maxed out. Annoys the piss outa me.
