  1. Hmmm, put a 10 cube box in a dorm room already pressed for space, or spend 150 bucks and have some bass shakers... Easy choice (plus I don't have no money for a good amp for a subwooferage setup)
  2. While helping people move in I met a fella that was here helping hes brother move in and the guy went to school up in Rhode Island for EE and did alot of pro audio stuff, 'twas pretty cool talking to someone who knew wtf I had for gear He thought it sounded pretty good for what I had.
  3. Hey beat, there are no excetptions to the rule untill I get some more pics of "The Ark"
  4. Inestead I have towers that dip down LOW with Authority.
  5. I don't have subwooferage.
  6. So now I think the next step will be a bass shaker or two in the dorm room... Think a futon will like them??
  7. Ok, so I go to radioshack to pick up an adapter, S-Video to RCA so I can use my Computer as the dvd player in my room and just have video out to the TV, I left mine at home. The dude at Radio shack says they don't even exist, and if they did they wouldnt' work... Yet I have one at home and have used it before, wtf?? arseho.
  8. None of them in my state either, take 500 miles west and your at colorado springs though. And the dorm system is still amazing, I will try to get pictures up for ya'll tommorow or somethin when we get this pucking mess cleaned up, we did construction today.
  9. Got the dorm setup hooked up and running, all I have got to say is Holy chit!!! More pics will come later when I get my computer back up and running. It is just insane.
  10. Hmmm, care to include me...
  11. I'll just invite them up to my place to listen to a real dorm setup
  12. Direct quote from the paper we get (Topeka Capital Journal) "A serous sound system is a must for the perfect party room. Don't waste money (and space) on bulky components. Mini-speakers connecting to your laptop or iPod will do the trick. Now who on gods green earth thought that mini ipod speakers is a serious audio setup?? I think my setup is just stepping into the serious audio setup for dorm, and gonna be insane anyway.
  13. Well, got a couple coats of primer on, I can't say I'm exactly happy with they way they turned out, I shoulda left them without any primer on them, but eh, who cares. My goal for this was a Light tower, yet sturdy and can stand up to parties, I think I've achieved that, each tower is a little over 1/2 a sheet of 3/4" BB ply so it isn't heavy by any means. They should be decently sealed, they probably have about 4 coats of primer on them. I should have used high build primer, but once again, first time painting speakers so eh. (or should have not rounded the edges and got veneer, but thats more expensive than free primer). I painted them with a couple friends (well, a few people were there just cause it was something to do) so I killed a little more time than needed but who cares. I've been up and going since 5:30am today, and now its 1:45am, tis a long day. Pics will come when I get time, probably when I get to school this weekend.
  14. Custom DIY enclosure...
  15. I move back in to college tommorow afternoon, primering the speaker cabinets in 30 minutes, and just started getting everything else together a couple hours ago.
  16. If you can't see them when its clean and can only feel them, its less than a 1/16"
  17. Thinking about it, I'm guessing you've got big hands so a Morini grip would probably suit you fine, compared to a Rink though its like holding a log. I've heard raves about how good/crisp/consitant a Morini electonic trigger is, and my team mate that shoots one isn't to fond of it (Hes is in the top two for juniors in the nation, been across the puddle three times to shoot all expenses paid). I hear once you get a trigger assembly that works, they last for quite awhile, but my TOZ is all mechanical and is a very good gun in the aspect of durability. If you wanna dabble into free pistol, I found my TOZ new for right at 1,000$, you can't even get a used Morini for that cheap. The TOZ and Morini are basically the dominating two on the firing line, theres alot of other pistols that you will see on the line from by gone eras, but if you look into the finals/medals you will see two, the TOZ and Morini. -Ryan
  18. Nope, the .177 is an Anschutz LP-@, and my free pistol is a TOZ, better than a morini Believe me, you do not want the elctronic trigger, I've got a team mate who has one and he is asking everyone one he can (including international matches over across the puddle) if they know of a mechanical trigger outfit for it. No one makes one. He is on his THIRD trigger assembly from them, and hes had it probably a year and a half. These are brand new trigger assemblys from the Morini also. *Psst, don't get morini grips, get Rink ones, I have them and I love it*
  19. MMmmm, Tasty
  20. I"m a young grasshopper, just noticed that
  21. Top!
  22. Anyone got a rack amp laying around they want to loan me for a sub setup in the dorm room. I've got my two amps taken right now, the ART on tweeter duty and the Behringer on midbass duty. I need another amp and sub, crap.
  23. Just get a set of feeler gagues.
  24. Silicon caulking, duct tape, etc.
  25. I've got a roadmaster 8" woofer that I may have to hook up to the EP2500 and give her hell. But sadly, I don't own a video camera.
