Sundown E-15 Review by Skip01
Alright, I think I know what I want to do.... Although I tend to change my mind many time about things like this. haha. One E-15 D4 @ 2 Ohms on 500w in 4 ft^3 @ 30Hz with one 6" aero (17" long) which is 7.1 in^2 port area per cube. That's a really small port. It's not the size of the port but how you use it!

need help with building box for one sa-12
Now this link granted is a box I built from an older one but you can use the same dimensions if you like, it turned out very nice for the effort I put into it and the sub sounded very good. Reclaimed Box Build

Need my SA8's to beat a pair of 10's
(2) SA 10s Dual 2ohm $390(new) or $280(Bstock), (1)SAZ1500D used $300 (roughly) leaving you at a minimum $300 for box if your budget of $1000 is just for subs/amp/box. I would try 3cuft (after all displacement) tuned at 35Hz with (2) 4" Aero Ports 16.5" in length each, if you use duct (not duck) tape on the ports you can buy some generic PvC pipe and experiment with lengths. I have never been one of those who thinks you need a TON or a HUGE setup to do good numbers. My current car is a pretty good example of that with 2 SA 12s and a 1500d at 1ohm nominal doing a 144.2 before my subs were completely broken in at 46Hz. I personally think with what I have suggested you CAN beat his score it will just take some time and experimentation.

Need my SA8's to beat a pair of 10's
(2) SA 10s ported off a SAZ2500D and make him squeal like a pig! Of course box design is gonna be key as well as electrical.

Enclosure Size
2cuft after all displacement tuned to 35Hz should be very nice in your application.

SA-8 v.2 Prototype Completed
What's the Xmax if you had not already answered that, and when you going to setup the preorder I think I want to do two of these on my SAZ1500D just to blow peoples minds more so than I do with my 2 SA 12s currently.

Single SD10 enclosure
Just whipped up a quick ported box for a 03 Ford Lightning truck for a local here, box came out good and cannot wait to hear it in his truck. Box is pretty simple 1cuft tuned to 35hz with a single aero port. Will be installing this and building his small amp rack this coming weekend, and I have nothing but great expectations on performance from this sub. This is the second local here that I have recommended the SD series too who purchased them. The first I believe picked up a pair of the SD12s.

Sundown SA Series "Win" Thread
Well not sure how impressive to some but I think my car is pretty impressive for what it is. 2 SA 12s 4cuft aero port box on a single SAZ1500d, here are a couple videos of them doing work. And the car meters at this at 46Hz;

SA12 Build help
Without knowing your vehicle or the dimensions it's hard to just spit out a box for you. However I can give you a general idea which is my box, 4cuft after displacement (3) 4" Aero ports 12" length. Here's a video of the box doing work on my windshield, and the 2 sa12s run off a SAZ1500D at 1ohm mono.

Shallow Component Set
ETA? Would love to try them out, however I am a bit picky on the amount of midbass out of my components, my JBL MKIIs get down.

when is sundown audio going to have some deals on here soon?
Honestly, the cost of Sundown SA series subs is already amazing, and as someone noted the B-stocks will save you some $$ and they are just as good as a brand new sub. I have 1 of each a new one I purchased for $195 and a b-stock for $150 and I have YET to find someone who can tell them apart. The quality of these subs are worth every penny, and I challenge anyone to find a better performing sub for the money. If you know me and my history in Car Audio you know I don't say something of that lightly. Bottom line, save up and buy them!

Wife's build, yes my wife now rocking Sundown!
Had a chance to finally meter the car, not that I expected a whole lot but I was pretty surprised when it did a 133.3 at 45hz.

Subwoofer displacement
It's in the PDF with all the SA specs here http://www.sundownaudio.com/pdfs/SA_Series_Manual%2810-12-15%29.pdf but it's .10cuft displacement for the 10s.

(2) SA 12s (1) SAZ1500d and a big smile on my face!
It's 4cuft after displacement of the subs and ports, (3) 4" aero ports 12" long flange to flange, peaking at 46Hz in my car. Also it sounds very good on regular music, granted I have to use the remote bass knob and turn it down for like rock and etc music.
