X2, I can tell you from personal experience that these people are here to help you, but honestly, they are not going to do the work for you. EDUCATE yourself to the best of your ability (google.com is your friend).Then if you still have a serious question that you just can't figure out on your own post it here and most will be glad to help. The information you are looking for can be easily found on the internet. Take some initiative and try to learn something. Just my $.02.

I think for what you are going to be using it for the BXi2010D would be a good fit. Hifonics has gotten a bad rap in the past because their amps haven't always lived up to the specs. Personally, I feel aside from the Audiopipe AP15001D and the AP30001D, the Hifonics Brutus line is the best budget amp around. Also, new 2010 line is supposed to have upgraded Class D circuitry and do damn close to if not rated power. Wondering what kind of power 1 of these could see daily. I know it states 1000RMS, but knowing how well built these are (and the fact that Jacob has burped them with as much as 4500RMS) wanted to know a realistic daily figure. Thanks.

You have been all over the place with equipment from here and there, lets take a step back before you just keep throwing more and more equipment at us. What are your goals, your budget on amp, speakers, front stage, electrical upgrades, etc? I wouldnt get a sub with those T/S Parameters. Thanks jay-cee, you are right, I'm kinda going crazy all over the place tryin to make everything fit into my budget and the whole time the quality of product is getting worse and worse. I am going to slow down and concentrate on obtaining one piece at a time so I can maintain the integrity of the overall system. The RXD2400 isn't listed on their website, so I assume it is older. Do you know anything about them?

I have most everything leftover from my previous setup. Yellow Top under the hood with Big 3 done in 2gauge welding cable and 0 CWG run to the trunk. I plan on building the box myself and I will be looking to spend $500 to $600 for amp and one 12.

I like their speakers, but don't have experience with their amps. So you think the CADENCE DAYTONA DCW-12RVC 12" is a good buy? Ever used one?

Me and a buddy of mine did an install with one of the RXD2400 powering a solo X 12" rated at 2500watts rms all running off an optima in the front and a kinetik 2400 in the back. big 3 done in 1/0 and install done with 1/0 cable. clamped the amp and only got about 2000 watts out at 1ohm. the amp is rated at 2400 watts at 1ohm. I live in houston and planet audio is one of the lower end brands they sell in flea markets. In that price range i would go with a hifonics brutus BXI2006D. I have experience with the brutus line and they put out more than what they are rated at. Actaully that is my other option, just didn't list it to keep the thread simple. Thanks for the input.

Just save up your money and get a reliable amp that has good customer service and does rated power and more. What are you looking for in an amplifier? What will it power? I'm sort of still undecided. I am trying to get the most I can from the trunk out of a ported enclosure with a single 12. I went to The Car Stereo Shop here in Brandon,FL and asked the owner, Jeff , who happened to be at the front counter for 12g speaker wire. He asked me why I wanted that when 16g would work for any sub. I told him ok but I want 12g. He asked me what sub I was running, I told him a Power Acoustik Mofo-15 off a Bamf-5500D. He told me my first mistake was that I didn't buy from him (cocky prick) and that was alot of power I better use 8g wire. He sent a flunky out to the shop for the wire who came back with 2 runs of 8g power wire that showed obvious signs that it had been previously used. It was corroded and had marks and bends where it had been installed in the vehicle. I asked him how much, he said $2 a foot. I respectfuly declined and went to see Tommy at Explosive Sounds. Tommy (The King Of Bass) is a real down to Earth cool guy. He always takes the time to answer my questions and offer advice even though all I have ever bought from him is speaker wire, power wire, and some connectors. And sometimes I even go down there just to hang out and kick the bobo. When I get ready to do my official build for my car, I am going to have Tommy build my wall and install two of his Incriminator Audio KOB 18's and a IA20.1. So the way I see it, it all has to do with the people at the shop, if they are in it for a buck or do they really do it cause they love it!

Thank you. What about the port, 14.5"H x 2.3"W x 15.5"L how would I factor this in to the build. Sorry to ask so many questions, but this will be my first box that I build and I don't wanna mess it up. So would I just stop the front wall 2.3 inches from the inside of the side wall and make the port wall 14.5 high and 12.2 deep then bend it on the back wall for 3.3?

Whoever calculated that box didnt subtract the subs displacement, it is 2.08 ft^3 @ 37.47Hz. How bout this: 16"H x 26"W x 16"D 14.5"H x 2.3"W x 15.5"L 2.26 ft^3 @ 38.04 Hz (port area= 33.5in^2, port area range= 27-36in^2) So the sub displacement affects the port tune also? Us this where I kept going wrong with my designs? Any chance of throwin me a cut sheet please?

Thanks to everyone for the help, I did a cardboard moch-up of the box AQ said would be the smallest I could run the HDC315 in and I guess I must have been hittin the rock when I dreamed that I was gonna fit that box in my trunk. I got maybe a 1/4 of it in there. So it looks like it's gonna be the HDC312 for me. This is what AQ gave me for it Displacement of the 12 is .18 The 12 likes ported boxes of 1.7-2.5 net cubes tuned 36-40hz Best box is 2.2 Make your box 26" x 16" x 16" Make your port 2.4" wide, 14.5" tall and 20" total length Your box will be 2.2 net tuned to 38hz Does this sound about right to yall?

Ok, I just don't think that the box design AQ gave me is going to squeeze into my trunk. I played around with the numbers and came up with this 35Wx16.5Hx16D Port 3Wx17.5Lx15H Tunes it right around 37.5Hz end up with 3.7 minus approx .2 for sub disp still leaves me with the 3.5 AQ said would work anyone check my numbers?
