  1. Well, there goes the forum! J/K good job dude. deserved for sure!
  2. My initial thought is anywhere from 0.6 to 1.2 cubes vented... but testing will be done to see how it stacks up in reality. You will need to cut the holes out larger for these if the box was made for SA-8s, FYI. oh yeah, forgot i did read that. just a matter of changing the baffle. sounds like maybe ill build a hair bigger volume, say .75 per driver and just be easy on the SAs untill then.
  3. Jacob, any idea of box recomendions? im currently working on one thats about 2.4 cubes for my current 4 sa-8s and will be surly stepping up to these when they come out. would that be ideal for the X-8s on a saz3K
  4. I cant even wait for this preorder to start. im all over it like fat kid on cake!
  5. Yeah i notices lots of things are better. i dont have my amps and batteries back in yet so i dont know how much the music has changed. but its like driving a cadillac now. super quiet and peacfully.
  6. What What What!!!!!!!!
  7. i dont even have the truck back together yet but i had to take a quick ride around the block. I have a moderatly loud magnaflow dual exhaust and it resonates pretty loud in the cab so i had to hear the difference. Its so much less audible inside the truck with the windows up and just cruising. All together with shipping my SDS cost me just over $700. it may seem like alot but if my baby can sleep peacfully on a roadtrip or i can take an important business call inside the truck at a commercial construction site without being disturbed it is well worth it to me. I said in the begining that the sound deadener would be exessive. Ill have more pics tomorrow when i start putting it all back together and cleaning up some wiring in the back and installing the XS battery at the back wall.
  8. I guess i forgot to take alot of pictures. like of the tiles on the back wall or floor. My truck had quite a bit of dampener on the floor already plus all places where two panels meet it had butyl rope that i added or foam from the factory. FTW! I added tiles to the roof and against Don financial judgement i added mlv and ccf to the roof also. Don explained to me it wouldnt be worth the money as most sound enter the vehical below the roofline, but since i had some extra and i really wanted it done. I did it. Dont tell Don. either i ordered too much mlv/ccf or Don sent too much either way i had extra.
  9. Well ive been slacking a bit on this rebuild and stacking more equipment. some of you know im a recent father so having a newborn takes alot of my time. work is steady and consuming alot of my time also. ( gotta pay the $600 month daycare bill somehow ) At any rate. i received the last order of my sound deadener showdown a couple days ago so i found some time today to get some work done. i removed about 75% of the fatmat and replaced with SDS CLD tiles. there is a few places where removing the old mat would be extreamly time consuming, so it stayed. FATMAT FAIL!!!!!!! CCF fut and shaped for the back wall MLV roll MLV glued to the CCF and ready for the back wall quick rubdown to clean the surface before the CLD tiles
  10. Tear. thats real sad bro. i have a 2 1/2 month old son. i couldnt even imagine. prayers are with you man!
  11. I agree, but ///M5 you cant expect every NOOB to know the difference between sound quality and quality sound.
  12. Did you just say daihatsu? lol. Im tuned in for this. maybe ill pick one up too?
  13. Good Chop. diggin the flat. throw some cheap corvette wagon wheels on it and call it a day.
  14. I'm not following you? Ive come to understand that fumes from wood glue, liquid nails ect Can effect the glue used in the fabrication of the sub itself. And it looks as if you will have to build the box around the sub, so the fumes could effect it.
  15. what about some used rockford. they were always pretty solid and affordable. dose it have to be new?
  16. wow. way to drag out a 3 year old thead. lol
  17. Don gave me the one time "the save a nigga from the fatmat special" 40 tiles coming your way. bought them friday night so he should get them shipped by tuesday afternoon? i guess it helps that i just spent like $700 on my truck with him.
  18. A 1000 watt "SQ" 8" driver? not really needed. SQ dosent need 1000 watts.
  19. Is it the same problem with the A/C off? Fans draw quite a bit of power. if one or both has a motor going out it could really draw more.
  20. let me test one when its done. you know im hard on the SA-8s.
  21. Not yet.... still says 999.
  22. So i really played with the graphic EQ today and it sound so much better. I think it have some more tuning to do but overall im getting more and more pleased with the bravox comps and all the SDS i installed. thanks to everybody.
