  1. 2 18'' Audioque on 3500 audioque headrest 148.7 headrest and 122.8 park n pound third comp to ever do
  2. not sure if this will help you or not.
  3. the 18's were going to go in my Tahoe and I found a steal on a extended cab truck so I took out the back seat and throw the 18's on there but now I would like to have a back seat again. no im not stuck on aq just thought it would be easier to make them into 10's then sell them or trade them.
  4. they made them they just don't carry them anymore
  5. I use to go to the local car audio shop we have in my town and once a week they everyone would meet up metered thier systems for free and tune them. then one time we showed up did our normal thing and the cops showed up saying we were causing noise pollution and told us the same crap about times and we tired to argue the fact that we were in the time zone that it was ok to be loud. The owner still got a ticket cause even though we were in the allowed time zone it still bothered someone enough to call the cops and that the only way we could continue to do this every week was if we got a permit for it.
  6. so if i could find an audioque 10'' hdc3 basket that would be the best way to go and just do a aq recone kit
  7. thank you for the help i was just wondering if it would be worth my while to do and the drilling and tapping wouldnt be a problem. As far as the engineering part i never thought about that part of it. If i was to do this i would put a psi recone kit on it. now i will just probably buy some 10'' subs thanks for the help.
  8. whats wrong with the audioque motors
  9. I am switching sub sizes and I am going from a 18'' to 10''. I have seen people build custom subs with different motors and baskets. now my question is will any basket fit on my motor with out any problems? I have 2 18'' hdc3 audioque.
  10. well if you enjoyed the 12 much more then i would go with the Fi Q. maybe try an aero port in the box you have with the 10 before you buy another sub they aren't that hard to put in. I have had 4 12's and i made 4 different boxes before i got the sound i liked. a lot on trial and error goes into it to get the outcome you want. Either way you go 2 10 or 1 12 it should be louder.
  11. that's awesome man great numbers for first time
  12. what frequencies are you not hitting? High frequencies or low? from my experience when i had a ten a ported box played lower and sealed played higher. i had a 12 in a sealed box and i liked it a lot better than the ten in a sealed box. im not an expert but i have been in the same boat as you.
  13. how much air space do the icons need
  14. 2 HDC3 audioque 18'' copper coil dual 2ohm could you tell out of the two 10's im thinking about getting which ones you would go with. the ssa gcon or the psi platform 1
  15. 2 HDC3 audioque 18'' copper coil dual 2ohm
  16. I haven't built the box yet so I have no clue yet and I would like to spend about 500 to 600 on subs or would trade mine.
  17. I am thinking about down stepping down from my 18's and going with something more practical. I have a 2001 gmc 1500 extended cab and im thinking about putting 2 10'' subs underneath the seat. I plan on raising the seat 2'' and hope to have about 3.5 cubic ft. so I would like some recommendations on subs please. I have been looking at the psi platform 1 or ssa gcon but I am open for other options. I would like to go for as much spl as I can get with an under the seat setup. I have a AQ3500.1D and a dc power alt and 3 batteries. thanks for any help......
  18. how much cash do you want if trading?
  19. One thing I should add. Depending on how loud what ever it is your setting the gain on, you may need to step away to notice any distortion. IE: 2 18s and 4kw. Near it at any reasonably high level is well above our ears' sensitivity, and you'll have a harder time noticing any distortion. But you just said to set my gain by ear and now you say my ear will have a hard time noticing it so i just turn the volume up until i smell my subs? lol
  20. Ok then i guess i will just set my gain by ear. Thanks for all the help
  21. so if a scope is useless for me too then why do so many people set there gains with them? just curious?
  22. Sorry i forgot that i would like to go into competitions so the music would just be a tone. My truck peaks at 47 hertz so that is why i would like to know if a scope can help me set my subsonic filter to 47 hertz?
  23. so i am wanting to set my gain on my amp and i have read a ton on the dd-1. some people love it and some think it is useless. Ok so i have no experience with an o scope at all but watched some videos and i think i could do it. So with someone like me who has never set there gains with an o scope would it still be a good idea for me to get an o scope or a dd-1? and can you tune your hertz with an o scope? I am open to any suggestions just please keep in mind that im a newbie with setting gains....
  24. Well hell i guess if that's the case then it was a waste of money
  25. I did a just the gain on my amp. I turned it down the reason i bought a line driver was because several people at the competitions i have been at have them and said you go boost your pre out signal and turn my amp gain down so my amp doesn't have to work as hard. Which the line driver did boost the signal enough to turn my amp down. I've just never heard of a line driver throwing an amp into protect mode. Thanks for everyone's input i have a justed the gain on the line driver and i have no problems no
