1996 Ford Escort Build
Don't know if your brother plans on going to a car show and getting metered sometime, but doing the big 3 could get him a couple tenths on the meter. Other then that nice looking install and I bet he is geeked about the system.

What do you guys think?

Rival Subwoofers .. beast subs
Maybe that's why this forum is dead, that's not advertising he didn't once mention where to buy them, the price or anything. All he did was show some videos of some subs, the owner would get nothing from advertising on this as it is one of the deadest forums there is,beside Soundpressure. If people can't post vids of other subs, then that's just weak,my 2 cents. Actually initially I did but I removed it because that was the only thing i could assume was spam. I am not trying to get anyone upset, just trying post what I thought was a pretty good sub from what I have heard and seen personally.

Rival Subwoofers .. beast subs
these are my own experiences that I have had with Rival subs and my own thoughts and opinions. No advertising here just thought I would share what I have experienced myself. I know most people would like to see pic's when your posting about something so I shared a few pics and videos that I have seen also. nothing more nothing less. And the first vid was 7200rms clamped on 12 12's

Rival Subwoofers .. beast subs
Dont know if any of you have heard of Rival Sub woofers but the guy who designed these subs I think has done a good job. He has his own car audio shop Rival Mobil Electronics about 40 miles from me and I have had the opportunity to hear a few vehicles that have these Rival sub woofers in them and they are performers. Here is a few vids of the vehicles. This vid he has more power 7200rms clamped. Now for the s-10 which is a sweet build on two 12" Rivals And the Owner's name is Bill and he has a pretty loud jeep with 4 12" Rivals in a wall that has done over 156db this vid has a good view of the subs. Here is his 155.2db score was not his higest

180"+ projection for outside game play soon...
OK.. I have a Mitsubishi HC1500 which is 720p and the picture is beautiful. I know this projector must me awesome. You know that damn thing will project up to 320 inches right... and still look great. I used mine to project onto the back of a friends two stall garage covered the whole thing no problem... also still trying to get a guy I work with to get me a piece of vinyl for an outdoor screen. He use to work for a billboard company and would save the vinyls and they are like 12ftx16ft and the back sides are perfectly white vinyl.

Finally my DB Drag Runs from Slamology 2010
Made it back out to my Friends house and he had the video's of my DB Drag runs at Slamology. The First Video I had to do a bail out and let my system go full blast the whole 30 seconds on a 44hz burp, it held up pretty good for what it was worth. The second video clip was my second run on day two. I had assistance from a few friend's to hold down the doors to get my 148.1db but it was not enough to advance to the next round. I was happy to get a 148.1 at an offical DB Drag event and now my goal is set on a 150 or better now. Will be building a new box soon for 4 15's. Qualifying Run on Day one Second Run on Day Two

its jsut not quite hitting hard?
Is this a slot ported box or a Round ported box?
-
its jsut not quite hitting hard?
Two different car's too. That custom port may have been tuned to his resonant frequency in his car. Your resonant frequency will be different in your car. There are a lot of variables.. but one thing I was always told "There is no replacement for Displacement"
-
its jsut not quite hitting hard?
I am not surprised that it is not as loud. You went from 226.08 inches of cone area to 78.5 inches of cone area. That is damn near 3x less cone area and the difference on the amp's will not make up the difference on the Cone area.

Starting new Box build .. need expert opinion
Yes this is in a 2003 Mercury Mountaineer So 4 ports straight across would be best port config with the ports low... now is it detrimental for the ports to be at least a port width away from the bottom? or can I go 1/2 port width away from bottom.. what kind of problem are related to not being the proper distance away?

Starting new Box build .. need expert opinion
Well I got a couple more 15" Rockford Fosgate RFR2215 Power DVC subs.. now I am ready to do my four 15's setup. At Slamology I got a 148.1 in DB Drag with 2 15's and 2 12's at 44hz. My goal with this new box build with four 15's is to hit 150db mark. I recently just started playing with Bass Box Pro and Google Sketchup and I have come up with a Design in Bass Box Pro and then tried to Model it the best I could in Google Sketchup so here it is. This will be powered by a T40001bd. 12 cubes after sub, port, bracing displacement with 1" MDF 4 6" PVC Ports 10.5" Long to get a tune at 38.01hz There will be a total of 9 1" Dowel rods for bracing in the box 4 from top to bottom 3 from front to back and 2 from side to side. I am also planing on rounding the internal corners for better flow. Also thinking about making the 4 ports removable and have another set for SPL tuning like around 50hz. Here is a Google SketchUp Video I made http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1PgfsR4_eXw And The Bass Box Pro pics so you can see the complete design Which one of these would be a better port config? I know they say that you have to have at least one port width distance from any wall and I dont know if I can do it either way but I will have some distance though. Having the 4 port's in a line I will have more then enough port width away for any wall but two of the ports will be very close to the sub. With the two on top and two on bottom config I have plenty of space from sub's but can only get about 3.25" distance from the top or bottom. Any Thoughts on which way will work / performs better? here are examples.

I decided that I am leaving my head unit installed and using the remote for db drag. For bass race I will use my ipod with a cable that extends outside my car. and as far as meeting up, it was at Walmart on 4650 S Emerson Ave, Indianapolis, IN. It is right around the corner from the host hotel LaQuinta inn.
