  4. ok so i have a 8" l7 and it has this knock to it from the research ive done im pretty sure the shaft the voicecoil ries on is tweaked a bit so the vc hits it is there any way to repair this? it would be awesome if i can cause then i can trade it and a cheap boss 600w amp for two RE 10's that hit 148 in comp and feedback would be great

  6. thanx guys imma give it a whirl with the foam and some dynamat type shiz ....any advice on the deadiner? im needin the best performin stuff for the cheapest price i found some at autozone for $16.99 for a 5' x 5' square but im sure it would take to many layers to get the propper effect...... and the trunk lid its the outside layer of metal then on the inside it has the stamped out sheet of mettal with like 3 cutout holes so technically the inside layer is just about the same as the outside layer just with 3 4" x 4" holes and its not stuck together like it was 30 yrs ago lol and it slaps together...... also would spraying like rhino liner in the whole back half of the car stop small rattles like the back dash and other little random rattles?
  7. ok so i drive a 76' caprice with 2 treo 15's and my trunk lid is 2 seperate layers ....over the years the two layers dont stick together anymore which causes it to rattle ,sometimes louder than the bass and was just wondering if anyone could give me tips to fix this problem without weighing the lid down where it wont stay open on its own. my first thought was the canned foam stuff that expands but thats alot to fill also my cousin works for a glass company and he gaqve me a cpl rolls of that gooey black shit that seals windshields i just cant it very far into the lid. anyone got better ideas?
  8. i would sure love a sundown amp but im tryin to be as cheap but still quality ive been coming across brutus 1200d's for 150 all day..........and i dont know wut they r tuned at i just got them a little over a week ago and they were already in the box i got them from a pawn shop

  10. yea its definately huge lol got plenty of trunk space and trying to put it to use. its all original less that a hundred thousand orig miles just needs body work from setting for years gettin rusty.... anyone point me in a good direction for an amp that will satisfy for cheap? cause this legacy 1200x2 is a piece-o-shat and im worried it will start clipping and kill my subs also can you guys tell me how to tune my box where i get good freq. response for high and low bass not just one or the other? cause ported the high bass is amazing but the lows suck then sealing it has great low bass which i love but not crap for the high bass ive recently fell in love with

  12. hi everyone ive been a basshead forever but just really started getting into build a "REAL" system as of right now i have 2 treo te dual 4 ohm 15's w/ a P.O.S legacy big red 1200x2 amp and sony h.u in a 76' chevy caprice. its ok for now im looking for a hifonics brutis 1200d to replace the trash i have now. but my system and car are a work in progress .ive been looking around on here and have been in amazement at sum things and i think this is a good place to feed my BASS addiction lol
