  1. That you for taking the time to explaining. I am familiar with the process of polishing, but just wanted an opinion from you guys. Guess I'll be busy this weekend unless the weather is not bad... autumn is knocking on the door.
  2. So lonely in the Hop.
  3. GettingPrettyTop
  4. Have someone else do them. If you pay, ok.
  5. What kinds are there in the first place? The rims are covered good in corrosion. I don't know about clear coat, but it's probably gone since they are in this condition. The end result...I want to remove all corrosion and then bring back the color of the aluminum. Not a big fan of chrome wheels. And the vehicle occasionally goes off-road, so you can imagine the conditions there. No chrome.
  6. Any advice on renewing aluminium rims?
  7. Have I read wrong or it's true that it's better to leave the vehicle working if you know you'll have to start it again after ~5 minutes? Something about the engine and fuel consumption when you fire it up.
  8. That's the same dumbass with the John Deere engine. http://www.barryboys.co.uk/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=34122
  9. Stupid me, next time I should double check all connections. One of the subwoofer wires got loose and probably disconnected for a bit, making a spark most likely and then... white smoke.
  10. So...I spend half the day installing the Sundown amp and the subwoofer. Finally, after many hours it turns on and plays fine. Then ... after 30 min I blew the POS subwoofer I had. Fuck my life.
  11. SUV, no intentions of building enclosures in the foot area and already have two 10" midbasses sitting in my room, for the doors. But we are on the same boat - " I want a good front ".
  12. Watching Stefan's thread as I am on the same boat.
  13. I officially started my system. w00t
  14. Guess I'll find another way to keep the terminal hot and pour solder from top, letting it go all the way, filling any gaps.
  15. Some use hydraulic crimper. I've always used a vice, then blowtorched the end til it was hot, then pushed the solder right in. Solder melts and fills all the gaps. Then wrap with electrical tape or heat shrink. That's exactly what I want to do... but I don't have a crimper or blowtorch.
  16. Peng, are those your folks using skype?
  17. Putting terminals on 0 gauge? Solder, hammer, solder and hammer? + heat shrink.
  18. http://sundownonly.com/ecommerce/drupal/ It's right there.
  19. lulz
  20. Have you noticed any heat problems with the amps installed this way?
  21. There is a reason why I don't say what I needed the wire for. When I told them it was for an amplifier they immediately start convincing me that I need smaller wire like 5 or 4 gauge, completely forgetting that I am putting less money in their pocket.
  22. ~23 feet of zero gauge bought. Let the party begin.
  23. Yup, sounds about right. 7 is far nicer than the abomination Vista is/was. Fucking Vista...such a cunt of an OS...
