  8. lets see ... it was my 1st vehicle a 77 chevy 3/4 ton reg cab truck when i bought it , it only had 70,000 miles on it was still all original. it had the factory stereo an AM stereo so before i put a deck in there i had a cd walkman with 2 battery powered computer speakers hooked up to it ! (im glad those days are over )

  12. just wondering, how mush does the SA-8 weigh?
  13. and the detector, no wires=very clean interior. you have me thinking how i can do this in my car haha i dont think ill have such luck thanks! yeah is really not all that hard at all i just dint want to use up my cig plug for the detector so i can have a spot for my phone charger . and i dont like the wire just hanging down from the windshield.
  14. and thanks everyone for the good compliments !!
  15. also something else i did to this install was a turn off switch. i install this switch for my radar detector so i can shut it off if i want at night to have less lights . the radar is hard wire to the car so i dont have wires just hanging everywhere . so i decided to wire the meter to that switch also to be able to turn it off whenever i wanted. and here are some pics of my hole dash and were my radar detector is located at.
  16. yes it is its an old one i have own it for a while now !
  17. yes i did to make sure, and it was dead on! and if i ever have to adjust it again, that dash part is easy to take apart.
  18. well you can set it at what ever lever you would like and if you ever what to crank it up louder you all ready have the set-up for it .
  19. in my opinion i would to the 2 15" put thats just me
  20. so im going to start this off with the type of car i have its a 95 mazda millenia s this would be the start of my future big install i purchased a stinger svmb volt meter my goal was to make it look as factory as possible , and since the car does not come with a factory volt reading, if i ever sell it this can be a added feature, so this is why i am wanting to make it look factory. so 1st came figure-ing out the location in the dash so after careful thinking decided the best possible location would be in the upper left hand corner of the dash this is wer the factory alarm light is located and since i dont have a factory alarm is a empty spot and perfect location for my new meter so then i took the meter apart and soldered a wire-ing harness to make it easy to remove if need be. then i adjusted the meter to match my electrical and installed it on to the dash. so after all of this and installing everything back on this is my end result ..........
  21. are you running any other amps?
  22. ok thats what i thought just wanted to make sure ! thank you!! almost done is looking awsome so far ill post pics ones im done!
  23. this might be a stupid question but just want to make sure and get it right when testing the batt with dmm to set the meter do i need to have the car on or off?
