  1. Ok answer me this question. If I get a H/O alt will it void my powertrain warranty getting it put on and using it?
  2. Well nothing is for certain. I would think two kinetic 1800s in the back would be cool. I can get them for $189 each. If i was to get a alt I would be buying from either Mechman or Dc power. they aren't exactly cheap.
  3. I was looking at a aq2200d. I have a 2009 Tahoe with a 4.8L?. So I was thinking if I had a upgraded battery in the front and a bank of kinetic 1800s or similar from XS power(which one would be better) also open to other suggestions? Would that be enough to run a aq2200d at .5 daily? It will only be played at full tilt for demos. Also I will probably put a battery charger on the bank at night.
  4. I want 4 sundown sa-12 but i want to eventually run 2 on one aq2200 and 2 on another aq2200 at 1Ohm each. Do i need 4 2Ohm DVC subs or 4 4Ohm DVC subs? Also is there any way i can run all 4 off of one aq2200d at 1Ohm until i get another one?
  5. sorry for waiting so long but yes. I do plan to compete Heavily.
  6. Ok thanks I was wondering about the vcm ok yea and the alt will be connected to the 16volt battery bank. Also can anyone chime in on the remote wire statement?
  7. Ok guys I have a 2010 tahoe with my stock alt and a DC 270 xp alt. They are both on a bracket, but what I really want to know is how to run my second alt at 18v. PLEASE be very detailed because I did not put the alt in and have very little experience with this sort of thing. Thanks ahead of time.
  8. I was looking at the SHURiKEN+SK-BT80 and it looks close to the hc1800 in specs so I was wondering if it would be just as good?
  9. Cool cause I will probably drive around with them 2 days before I put the amp in.
  10. Oh, Ok because i,ve heard people say that new cells have to be charged by a battery charger.
  11. I will probably get one at first and then a second down the line. Oh since this is my first major install by myself. If I get new batterys is there a special way I charge them for the first time?
  12. So would a small bank of 2 kinetic 1400 or 1800 be enough? Also because kinetic batterys are 12v can they be used with my truck if it runs at 14.4v?
  13. x2. He makes a good point on running a smaller battery bank because it's going to be on a stock alternator. The alt will not be able to charge those kinetiks I'm open to suggestions would 1600's be good or smaller. I'm still learning so use detail.
  14. I saw those vids a while ago, thanks for giving me a link to the whole group.
  15. What would be the best way to run the wire i was thinking a 1/0 run from the front to each battery, but would it be better to ground each battery by itself or just connect them all and let the starter battery ground handle the work?
  16. Any suggestions on batterys i was thinking two Kinetic HC2400's in the back and for sure change my starter battery also i won't play all the time mostly for 10-15 minute demos or when bored and always with the car on.
  17. I am planning on putting a system in my stock 05 Dodge ram 1500 Quad-cab and wanted to know if my electrical could handle it if i added a couple of batterys in the back? I don't want to buy a alt because i will be getting rid of the truck in about a year or so. the amp will push one DC lvl4XL or Lvl5 I have the whole back seat to work with for space If anyone needs any other specs just ask. Thanks for help in advance.
  18. I found it from learning.
  19. I'm new and willing to learn
