  1. Oh yeah the DRL's are the headlights(brain fart). It's a few different tricks to get the alt to charge I just can't remember them.
  2. Ok our trucks have a dumb thing. When you are cruising it drops the voltage because there is no demand. Switching on the headlight puts the vehicle into charge mode and it jumps back up to 14+, but the headlight thing doesn't work for some people. Also some people complain that these new trucks drain batteries like no ones business some people even have to go to the dealer to get the ecu reflashed. I can recommend the TahoeYukonForum just because there are many more who know more than me about these trucks.
  3. Oh I see that tab is bigger then I thought. I was thinking of just wrapping the wires around the post and covering them with solder, but I see that the tab is a nice size. Thanks Steve Also I have to hear it when it's done.
  4. I'm thinking If I buy two binding post I'll take the 8 gauge for the two positives and the two negatives and wrap the two negatives around a negative binding post and the two positives around a positive binding post and lay solder on top of the wires so basically the wire will be fused to the post. Then just run the wire to the amp on the outside of the box.
  5. That is a good deal, but the Knu will be free or $10 bucks because I'll give him something for it.
  6. Appreciate the link. I'm trying to figure out do you put a wire with ring terminal on one side and then I see the post has a push terminal on the other. I would guess one side would be in the box and the other out. This will be the first time using these every other time we use those little push terminals like on cheap prefab boxes, but since I'm using bigger wire I need something different.
  7. I just figured out where you got the wire pic from. Thanks Steve. Nice rebuild so far. If you can please get some pics of how you run your binding post. Do you just use a terminal on one side and just wire out the terminal of the other?
  8. Oh, Steve you reminded me of something I need away to easily disconnect the box if I have to for some reason. Could you get me some more pics of your post and how you have them running? Greatly appreciate it.
  9. I'm not sure it will fit. Well I'm sure it will fit in the sub. I'll have to pull the amp and see. Plus it's that Knu oversized Ofc speaker wire.
  10. Ok, I was getting ready to order some 10 gauge Knu speaker wire. Then I called a friend and he said he had about 40 feet of 8 gauge Knu wire. My question is can I use the 8 gauge or would it be overkill for the power I'm running? I will be upgrading amps in the future so if I use the 8 gauge I'll be set.
  11. Tunnels are cool to, but clam gets my vote
  12. This is really nice man. Got that power now.
  13. I did notice with my ride and a lot of others iPods or CDs get louder than regular radio. Also you are right I have certain songs that are really loud and others that are not.
  14. Op if you do change the color let me know. A deep purple and black crescendo would be sexy in the back of my ride.
  15. Skillz at it again. Agreed with edouble we need pics.
  16. How tall are those things? Should have fun with those.
  17. Since the Yukon is just like the Tahoe. I have to point out the width tapers down a little towards the bottom. I would go with 48.5 MAX just to be safe. Also my original plan was 4 15's. I have seen the kickers in a box smaller than 16 cubes especially if there overpowered.
  18. They look decent, but everyone knows how looks can be.
  19. I told him flip a coin. He has to get back to me.
  20. If it really is him. What is wrong with this guy?
  21. He is not competing. This is his first real system. I don't trust him to watch the SA on the power and to smell if it gets hot.
