What Crossover to get
I know about crossovers and how they work, I will read the article though because I like to learn, but I know having the wrong crossover is not a good idea i just want to separate the the woofer from the rest, because my mids distort and my woofer plays to much at once. is there anyway at all to figure out what these speakers would like to be set at.

15" xcon house build??
well it can't be 44" high but it can be that wide, because it is going underneath a projector screen and there is only 22" clearance. So can you re-do those figures for me so that it is 20" high? Please and thanks. I picked 28hz because I was planning on doing 29hz when it was going in my car so it just sounded like a good number, but I will try 25hz.

15" xcon house build??
Also, I plan on having it in the same spot as my old sub which was a 15" kove and it was firing at the wall and sounded fine. But i was wondering if firing at the floor sound better or not?

15" xcon house build??
The reason I plan on doing sealed is because this will only be for a couple months. If you can draw me up a easy to do ported enclosure tuned to 28hz that I can build with one sheet of 4'x8' mdf let me know.

What Crossover to get
And I was hoping that maybe someone knew something about these speakers, or could make an educated guess about them or something because I wan't to add a crossover, instead of listening to my mids and woofer distort at high volume. Also I do know a lot of company's didn't use crossovers, i was just stating that I think its dumb on there part, because there not taking full advantage of these nice speakers.

What Crossover to get
And to my warn status where it says to stop making threads without searching, I did search a lot, that is how I knew that there is no info out there for them, I looked everywhere. I even emailed the company.

What Crossover to get
wow, i was serious, i really plan on buying crossovers and i want to know any suggestions instead of guessing at it. and i did use the stupid search button I spent a couple hours at it. So don't assume things. And why do I have to get bashed all the time for me just wanting help. its starting to really annoy me. At this point you can ban me if you want because i'm sick of this.

Curiosity, to wiring things in parelell or a series
but what I am asking is does the the electricity running threw the first coil weaken the amount of electricity that makes it to the second coil? Because after I re-wired them into a series, the speakers at the end of the series where quieter than the ones at the beginning of the series? But when I had them in parallel they seamed to be getting the same amount of power.

15" xcon house build??
I am gonna be building a sealed enclosure for my 15" xcon it will be powered by 300rms Its gonna be going in the front of my living room, Should I fire the sub down or point it at the wall? What size should my enclosure be for good deep bass response in a sealed setup? Any ideas or tips?

What Crossover to get
I have two 100watt rms Floor house speakers, they are 3-way and are 12" in size with a 4 inch midrange and a 2 inch tweeter. they are sanyo AVS 500 series, there is no info anywhere for these speakers. They sound great except at high volumes they do not have a crossover in them at all, which I think is kind of dumb on the company's part, these are good sounding ported house speakers that bump pretty good, they can get the walls rattling and there from the 90's. I would like it if anyone had any ideas to what frequency crossover I should get, as in what frequency's should i aim for, for these speakers? they can hit down to 30hz very nicely, and you can even slightly hear the notes to the song 'bass i love you by bassotronics", which i think is impressive for 90's house speakers with no crossover. So anyone have any ideas?

Curiosity, to wiring things in parelell or a series
So I used to have my quad stereo speaker setup for my home wired in parallel and then I was re-doing things and I always noticed it lacked any bass, so I thought it was maybe because i was creating a 12-ohm setup for my 8 ohm stereo. So I rewired it so I would be creating a 6-ohm setup which did improve my bass response. But when I did this my rear speakers got about 3-5db quieter which is good to me because they have a higher sensitivity so they tended to drown out the front anyways. But I am wondering why would my front speakers being wired in the beginning of the series setup be louder now? And if this is how it works wouldn't wiring a dual voice coil in a series cause some problems in even power distribution among the two coils?? Please don't bash me, its late and I was just brainstorming.

I got my new xcon YAY! here is my short review.
I ran a bunch of hearing tests, I can easily hear up to 17,000hz and if I crank the volume I can barely hear 22,000hz. And I can easily hear down to 20hz but with volume cranked again I could hear down to 13hz before I couldn't hear anything. This was done with sony's best dj grade headphones with a flat frequency response from 5hz-24,000hz.

I got my new xcon YAY! here is my short review.
Humans can hear under 20hz if the conditions are correct, I could hear test tones down to 15hz in the next room, and here is a quote from an article. ""Specifically in humans, we have a maximum aural range of 12 Hz under ideal laboratory conditions""

I got my new xcon YAY! here is my short review.
I may be mistaken, this was in my home that I heard 16hz I couldn't here it in the living room very well, but if i went into the next room I could hear this really low deep rumble the lowest I could hear when testing this was 15hz anything lower wasn't hearable. It wasn't loud but I could hear the deep bass. at the same volume setting if i played 30hz it was 3 times as loud, so It was turned up pretty high to achieve a quiet deep rumble.

Where to get mdf for cheap??
I don't have a car do you think I can just drive around. I am gonna have a friend try menards today. Any suggestions on how to draw the right size circle, I lack any tools, I do have a jigsaw and a circular saw, and screwdrivers, but besides that i don't have much.

How much power is considered to much?
I also agree, more than 5k is to much except for spl. But everyone is different, like I don't need more than 1800 watts.

How much mdf??
