  1. The system is for me, and I don't really care for that music either. And I have a ssa xcon on its way so there is no lack of bass anyway. when I am just normally listening to music I like it well balanced with accurate sound and rich bass, and when my friends come by i just spin the dial for the sub. I am a SQ lover along with loving loud music to depends what mood i'm in.
  2. Well i do understand that, but none of my friends like that music at all.
  3. well some rock gets pretty creative in that, I don't care what kind of rock.
  4. some bands are perfectly ok with this method, plus I am looking for just a few excellent uncompressed audio file to show off the quality of my speakers, and I would like it to be in the rock or techno/euro-dance category.
  5. I love sound quality and its clarity. But I always end up listening to mp3's and I have heard from many places and I do believe them, that mp3's are to heavily compressed, and I want to know where I can get true audiophile grade sound tracks, of rock and techno type music??
  6. I am looking for someone to build a enclosure for my 15" ssa xcon. It needs to be 4 cubic feet tuned to 29hz, i'd like a flared slot port, in a standard rectangular enclosure with dark charcoal carpet, with a rectangular 10" window on the top showing off the insides (which means the insides need to look nice to enough to show off), so what would this run??? any offers? Also to add I would like it to only be 16" in height and no more than 35" in width, and I would like it if you could let me know what the end result on the depth would be?
  7. well I won't bother with complete ultimate perfection until I buy my cadillac deville, which won't be until april or may.
  8. mmm earsex lol. I can't wait until it gets shipped out. It has been awaiting shipment since sunday and it still hasn't been shipped, I can't wait.
  9. I tried the sub up in my station wagon and the bass got a lot quieter, I think it being 1.5 feet from the ceiling caused bass cancellation or something.
  10. From what I have experienced and read over the years, I believe that you get more db's in a small car, but you getter better reproduction of the sub-bass frequency's in a larger vehicle, especially suv's and station wagons. it's just my thought on it, and I was wondering if some complete audiophile who has some degree or something actually knows the real fact.
  11. My planned specs are 4 cubic feet tuned to 29hz. I plan on doing a slot port, with a plexi window on the top so I can show of the subs greatness. And the guy who is building it iscdbori0214 on the other forum.
  12. well, It always seems like the farther away it si from the drivers seat the deeper the bass gets. I have noticed this in all of my cars, and even if i lean closer the the windshield it gets louder.
  13. well i'm gonna wait until i get my caddy for deadening because the wagon is my moms car, so there is no point to do to much work to it.
  14. I am going to have a guy on the caraudioforum.com site build me a box i have seen some pics he does a A+ job, and i used WinISD to pick my tuning and size, and right now I don't have a license but i still might hook it up in the car for a day to see how it sounds. My station wagon has its hatch sound proofed but everything else isn't, but it is only my for now car, I eventually wan't a late 90's cadillac.
  15. I am asking if a big car (ex: full size station wagon) or a small car (ex: 1990 vw golf 2-door) is better for bass? I am talking about the full bass spectrum 20hz-100hz. I always thought a bigger car was better because it takes about 8-10 feet for 20hz to fully produce, but it always seems a lot of people think a small car would be the loudest, so can you clarify this for me and others.
  16. I have posted a few topics on my new ssa xcon, I haven't received it yet, it just got don't being built today, so it probably will be shipped out tomorrow. I just am bored, and I want to talk about it, or here any insight or anything random at all about it or anything even related to it, and completely off topic subjects are ok, just as long as you don't fill the whole page with it. so type away
  17. I wish I could get mine soon.
  18. Well I don't think it has been built already, unless they had some extras, because it showed that message the same night I ordered it.

Random Pics of subs I like, or own, and anything else that interests me.
  20. What does " Awaiting Fulfillment" mean in the order status page? and what other status's are there and what do they mean?
  21. Whats the difference between the port pointing in the same direction as the woofer, or upwards or towards the opposite direction?
  22. I was just thinking the traditional cube shaped enclosure, thanks for your response.
  23. I just bought a ssa xcon 15" dual 2ohm, it will be arriving in about a week or so. So I would like to know the best setup and design for my enclosure, I have already played a lot with WinISD and I have come to the conclusion that a enclosure of 4 cubic feet tuned to 29hz would be best. But does box shape affect the sound at all? Also are slot ports the best port for good deep bass? I already know having my sub pointed to the rear has the best sound response in my station wagon, and cadillac alike. And to add I would like the height for my enclosure that is going to be pointed to the rear to be only 16" is this a good idea. any suggestions?
