  1. So the SMD is built high or superior quality or performance compared to a BTL, which will result in a better piece of equipment.. which then will result in a bigger ? In this thread im referring to 1 driver, but in the near future im going to be having quite a build. As many 18/15" drivers i can fit in the bed of my truck. I read that the SMD cost 1200.00 the BTL cost 414.00 Is the SMD that much better in performance?
  2. Alpine best for function Alpine Electronics of America, Inc. Find a Head Unit you like then buy it off eBay
  3. Thoughts anyone? Yes i know, 90 percent is install dependent.. but in a right sized enclosure, tuned correctly etc etc As of now i'm talking about a reg. slot ported box behind the seats of my ext cab tuned around low 30's
  4. No, you didn't understand what i was saying. Just because its an audioshop doesn't mean they will do professional work, Mickey Shore in Michigan decided it would be a good idea for a ground to unbolt my seat.. wrap the strands of wires around the bottom on the bolt, then put the nut back on... You get it now?
  5. But it still is an awesome amp No.
  6. nope ..the box is made well ...as u can also see No offence, but to me it looks like shit.
  7. "Professionally fixed" is a high school student making 7.50 an hour, the same guy telling you a prefab box will work... A week on here will give you more knowledge then that "professional"

  13. Depends. I know for a laptop you can buy it with a certain warranty, walk out of the store, go to a swimming pool, use it as a surfboard, then pound nails in with the screen, set it on fire, then tap dance on it then go back into the store and get it replaced no problem, for free. It also works with phones too.
  14. What kind of ass clown would do this "Token" woofers are strictly prohibited. If a competitor has installed woofers in such a manner as to circumvent the competitor classification system, the competitor may be re-classified or disqualified at the sole discretion of the head judge. Example: A competitor who normally competes in the Super Street 1-2 class shows up at an event and decides that his normal class is too competitive for his taste. In an effort to circumvent the competitor classification system and move up into the Super Street 3-4 class, the competitor borrows 2 woofers and then lays them in the back of his vehicle. Now, there are a total of 4 woofers in the vehicle, even though the 2 woofers he just "installed" are not a legitimate part of the sound system. Activities such as this are strictly prohibited.
  15. H/O Alt -- High Output Alternator. For reference look into DC Power Engineering - Welcome In my opinion, out of the equipment mentioned i would choose the Sundown Nightshade V.1 EVEN THOUGH! Someone on this forum had recently installed a HDC3 from AduioQue.com and mentioned its quite similar to a Nightshade from Sundown. You should check into that and see if the price changes your mind about things. Note: I do NOT know the pricing on these products off hand but knowing AudioQue.com its most likely cheaper.
  16. Fi, What was the intentions when making the X series? I.E. SQ, SPL, "SQL", Daily, Competition, Etc Etc Etc
  17. Really? Thats awesome to hear, a dual alt bracket isn't something i was looking forward to doing at the moment. The output should be much greater then BTLs and AQ2200s ...i hope.
  18. Hey guys, I'm bullshittin' ideas around in my head about a temp daily set-up. until i do my BL What kind of electrical would i need for the set up listed below? I'm thinking a 350amp Alt from DC Power and a D3100 as a starter battery. AQ3500D.1 4 ohm power @ 14.4V @ 1% THD 1400W x 1 2 ohm power @ 14.4V @ 1% THD 2600W x 1 1 ohm power @ 14.4V @ < 1% THD 4300W x 1 AA SMD 18" RMS 3500w Also, if i were to double the equipment, could i still use a single alt and add another D3100? -- Or would that add too much then recommended stress on the alternator? Thanks guys!
  19. Check my sigggg man
  20. If you guys (buyer/seller) don't mind me asking, how much did this enclosure cost? w/shipping & w/o shipping
  21. Good start!
  22. Thanks brother
  23. BTL's arent big boy? compared to a warden? LOL The warden and the btl are in 2 totally different leagues in my opinion. The warden would compare more the the AA S M D sub or the DC Audio LVL 6. But what would have a greater output? The Warden looks like a beast! I've tried lookin' where to buy an SMD driver but no luck.. I cannot find it on SMD forum.
