  1. Thanks guys!! All great ideas! CadillacMatt -- i love that idea in your set up Cablguy184 -- A+ man, looks great and clean and those purple amps look beautiful on tan. lithium -- I love that you can hide all the mess and make your system look clean "powered by air" Mynameismcgyver -- i can't really understand whats going on there lol looks clean but from that angle i'm dumbfounded Mac N Cheese -- Sexy!
  2. Is this your first sub set up? If so, you may think you don't want too much bass but when you have and feel the bass in your ride... when you have the power to have bass at anytime you want.. it does (to some people i've talked to about this) turn into you wanting more bass.
  3. Thank you for the reply. When i bought my double din i didn't feel like installing it so i payed a guy 50 bucks to hardwire it (because the factory harness was cut out) and i forgot the reasoning but he did run a wire directly from the batt to the head unit, i THINK i connected my kenwood to the wire as well? -- it as been awhile and i have been so busy. EDIT: but.. obvs i didn't connect it to that wire right? - when i noticed the issue i thought of "The power wire that is always on is not connected to the right wire."
  4. Sorry, i've been busy and didn't notice the post reply. Yes i have the contact info i will call him today and tell him a buddy of mine will be in contact with him shortly.
  5. Some box builders leave the box without terminals so the buyer can position it himself. I am jealous of your work, very clean sir. I love the look on the sides, how it goes in about an inch.
  6. Do you mean did i connect the yellow wire where the red wire needs to be and the red wire to where the yellow wire needs to be?
  7. Is the volt meter really THAT bright? Looks like a good start, i've always wanted to try a bandpass enclosure. What alt(s) you runnin?
  8. My Kenwood KDC-MP342U won't save settings after i turn the head unit off. I did the install, had to hardwire with the wires, the factory harness was cut out from the previous owner, i used butt connectors. Truck in sig. Here is a video -- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-fRHgeJgcko
  9. Wouldn't the serial number be documented by the company so that could tell you where/who it was sold/sent too? -- don't really know how that stuff works.
  10. The DC resistance is the measurement of the coil at rest. When the cone starts moving, the magnetic field associated with the magnet and the moving coil increases the resistance of the voice coil. Usually the more resonant the enclosure, the higher the impedance rise.
  11. I hope it has no effect, cause it looks pucking sexy and i would do the same to an enclosure like so.
  12. You have some in your ride? If so have any installation tips?
  13. I doubt it helps, but i know if you have a pure plexi glass box it effects the sound waves, i wonder if carpet effects something.
  14. Puttin an order in at Sound Deadener Showdown for my doors today! Order Includes: 16 CLD Tiles 1 roll Extruded Butyl Rope 1 sheet 1/4" CCF
  15. I thought the same when i was looking through the pictures, then i saw this post and i was like HEY! lmfao. Carpeting the inside of a box effect performance any? maybe.. idk.. add a little more DBs if you know what im sayin'
  16. I'm waiting for the post that says..
  17. The amp kit i'm going to be using for the front stage amp is 4 Gauge, so should i use 4 gauge for the wiring to and from the starter batt to second batt? I'm going to use a 120amp inline fuse for the 4 gauge amp kit.. would the same size fuse be sufficient?

An epic waste of money putting that many mids in there. Yes, overkill like a bitch.
  19. Q 15 – We recommend using a sealed box in the neighborhood of 2-2.6 cubic feet of volume. Ported box we recommend using 2.8-4 cubic feet @ 28-33Hz. Again use 12-16 square inches of vent area per cubic foot of volume. Volume Calculator - Rectangular/Square Enclosures Subwoofer Enclosure Calculators, Fraction to Decimal, Parallel, Series, Port Length and Volume Calculators Play around with the dimensions until you get the recommend box size.
  20. Yes thats correct, but if you don't have enough wire for the negitive run then dont bother and just ground it...plus you need two inline fuses, one located near the starter battery and one located near the HC600 Inline fuse connected to the positive wire, correct? Yes, one near the front battery, and one near the HC600. Thank you How would i calculate what size fuse i need? Anyone have a chart/ graph?
