yeah fuck that shit, if you ordered it correctly and they messed up then it should be fixed. Its an easy mistake though... they put the wrong thing in the wrong box, we're all human. EDIT: they put the wrong thing in the RIGHT box.

Yeah, i plan on putting 18's in the bed of my truck, its an ext cab so it should be pretty loud. I have no prob giving you a demo, if we are ever in the same area. Do you have any tips for me about doing a blow though? Bump for UNANSWERED question!

Right now there in about 1.5-2.0 cubic ft sealed. But what he wants is more room in his trunk and he might sell them. But if he where to keep the Type R's how do you recommend the box to be Make a 5cubft PORTED box tuned to 32hz. - i threw two Alpine Type R's ina PREFAB box and these kicker comps sounded better.. THEN i made a box that was 2.5 for each driver and it was an amazingly different performance. Here's a video i made of the Alpine Type R's Note: It may say otherwise on the max rec. vented box volume on the website, but i know from experience that they perform best in 2-2.5

For one 12" driver you wont need double baffle. 3/4 MDF all around will be fine. 45's make the air flow better, but you have to calc. the space they will take up.. if you are tight on space this might be a prob. Tightbond is great wood, i use the strongest kind (green label) they have red, blue, and green labels.. red being the weakest and green being the strongest. The glue will be doing a huge part, once you glue everything together you will need to pre-drill your holes because MDF will split on you! -- About how big a box is needed for a single 12 is like a barber asking "how short do you want your hair?" some people will look great with real short hair and some people will look horrible with real short hair, almost everyone is different on how short they want their hair. People need a certain amount of hair to look great. - I hope this terminology helps you understand. Example 1. The max rec. vented box volume for a 12" Alpine Type R is 2.5 cubes Example 2.
