  1. What about the port edges, Andrew? I don't round those over because when it comes time to carpet its a pain in the ass where to cut the edges. Andrew
  2. Yup all of these are the first batch to come out of the new place. Andrew From the pics it looks like you have some great lighting. I love a lot of light when I'm working. The lighting is pretty nice. It's old school metal halide lamps so they take a while to warm up, but once they are they throw off perfect light. I have the as high as I can get them so its pretty ideal in here. Andrew
  3. Top on. Doing double baffle and flush mount on this thing. Going to be a pretty heavy mo fo when it's done. Andrew
  4. Sorry guys, built this one too fast. No progress pics, just completed ones with the port and ring painted. Carpet tomorrow and he is local so he is coming to pick it up Friday or Sat. Andrew
  5. Yup all of these are the first batch to come out of the new place. Andrew
  6. There is going to be a lot more of these build logs as I can work on 3-5 at the same time. The only thing slowing me down now is lack of clamps lol Andrew
  7. I am going to design a ported enclosure tuned to 31 Hz to give you a good low end. Andrew
  8. Getting started, I will update more in a bit here. Working on this one right now. Andrew
  9. I'm such a baddie to taking so long to get pictures up!!! He will have to post the rest of the pics as I forgot to take more. Andrew
  10. Something like this. I know I put three subs in there, I had two but they looked lonely... lol This is not to scale in anyway.... Andrew
  11. If you are concerned about sound quality then I would go sealed but if you are looking for output I would go ported. Which ever way you go I am going to need your max dimensions so I can make a design. Let me know which you would like to do. Andrew
  12. For a single SA 12 the flush mount will be plenty. Andrew
  13. Here is what I came up with: 1.5 cubes @ 35 Hz 14 deep 14 tall 27.875 wide Sub back, port back (slot port) Flush mount Andrew
  14. Here is what I came up with: 15 tall 21.5 wide 21.25 deep 2.5 @ 32 Hz (1) 4 inch aero port Flush mount, sub and port rear Andrew
  15. 14 inches deep is not enough room for the length of the aero port. Andrew
  16. I will have a design done tonight. Andrew
  17. To fit it in that narrow of a width you would have to go with an aero port. I think 1 four inch aero port would be enough since they are super efficient when it comes to port noise etc. Andrew
  18. If I made it narrow enough could it be pushed further back into the trunk? Andrew
  19. Ok I will up the height by a half inch and the depth by two inches to try and shave down the width. Andrew
  20. Looking at: Mids: https://www.madisound.com/store/product_info.php?manufacturers_id=148&products_id=929 Tweeters: ????? Andrew
  21. I don't think I would do the glassing myself as I have 0 patience for stuff like that haha Andrew
  22. The tweeters are in the doors along with the mids. So if I want to run the mids I really want to I will have to glass the doors which I'm not excited to do but I'm about the results haha Andrew
  23. OMG I think it's time I work on this some more!!! As soon as this weather drys up I will be able to. What's next: Deaden floor with: http://stingerelectronics.com/productDetails.aspx?ProductId=541&CategoryID=12 (Damper) and http://stingerelectronics.com/productDetails.aspx?ProductId=548&CategoryID=12 (Mass Loaded Vinyl) Headunit: http://www.crutchfield.com/S-W9NWEbgGtQV/s_130DEXP99R/Pioneer-Stage-4-DEX-P99RS.html Need to run some new power wire: Going to use all Stinger products in this car. I think I'm going to go with Blue and Clear. Double 1/0 run from front to back Stinger HPM 3 RCA's for 3 way active Remote Wire Possibly a fan control system Going to use the Stinger 14ga twisted wire to wire up the front speaker and tweeters/mids Rear ground will be right to the frame I think Still deciding what front stage I want. The front stage is going to be super SQ oriented. I might have to modify the front door if I cant find some speakers that are good off axis. I want the imaging to be perfect. Thoughts ideas concerns... Andrew
  24. Keep me posted and let me know if it works. Andrew
