  1. And because of that delay I couldn't finish touching up some paint on the Jeep and I need to drive it tomorrow....
  2. Struggled today for literally 2 hours to change a front sway-bar bushing on a Golf. Combine bad quality parts with german tolerances (and the fact that everything is cramped) and you end up with bruised knuckles and a lot of swearing.
  3. Addco's FTW once again. If I'm having fun on twisty roads with the Jeep I can only imagine how fun would going on a track with a track car be...
  4. Saw the mayor (he's also was the prime minister) at the gym, barely controlled myself not to be extra rude...he did look like he was carrying the world on his shoulders, so I believe he is getting his fair share of "rewards" for poor decisions.
  5. They pop up on a UK forum from time to time, most of them in need of a recone. Too bad I don't want to spend my play cash on speakers. And it's super simple to tell if it's an old XXX or MX. Motor pic and it's settled.
  6. Happy Birthday ! ! !
  7. Taken with his cell, poor F-150. He just dropped ins coverage to liabilty last week, so he is out. Fuck, that's not going to buff out.
  8. My S90 has "similar" performance to the G12, according to DP Review. I can't tell you how much I love to rub it in people's faces that even if their phone has an 8MP camera, my old Canon still took better pictures.
  9. I've found them labeled as Anderson plus or connectors. Those are on our forklift, and I've seen folks use them for connects on 12v truck winches. It's good stuff nonetheless. Definitely my choice for a removable amp or battery.
  10. I've found them labeled as Anderson plus or connectors.
  11. I liked it
  12. You need to be speshul to have access
  13. I know it's not as simple as it sounds but simply try and move away from people who bring you down. If it's happening on facebook, then el-oh-el, it's teh internetz, screw everybody
  14. It's official! I am NOT the whitest man on the face of the Earth! Must've been the sun hiding my farmer's tan but yeah, I'm white
  15. LOL, I go to comps once in a blue moon and still manage to make online news. Pics from the news article: I couldn't stop laughing when I saw these
  16. Cut an MDF ring with the ID equal to the pipe OD, or any other material which is rigid enough, mark 3-4 spots on the pipe at the desired length, slide the ring over the pipe and align it with the marks, use the ring as guide to cut or mark. That's how I do it for PVC pipe and after marking the cut line, I freehand the cut with an angle grinder. It doesn't turn out as good as a perfectionist would want but it's pretty damn good
  17. I never thought cider on ice was a good idea...... I drank 7 22oz bottles of the honey crisp on Saturday night. That stuff has me converted. You are right though, some of it is not so great. It even recommends it on the bottle. Otherwise I wouldn't have either, but I like it. I was shocked. Just shocked. You mean there actually is good, drinkable cider? What is this world coming to? I'm spoiled with german beer
  18. When I used to deadlift, I would do it every week. I never went for weight more than I could do 5 times in a row though. Some people will tell you once a month, but I know Olympic guys who would do a huge heavy 1RM and then do light deads another day. Hell they did powe cleans too and that is just a dead lift + extra shiznit. I would only NOT do an exercise if it caused me pain. Not soreness, but pain. Hooray deadlifts I was reading some lower back safety article and got the same advice, 5 reps, maximum weight. Thanks to the mix-up at work with the gym passes I missed 3 deadlift days and had to drop down the weight a little but I'm back to 1x a week. Funny thing is not many people where I go to the gym do dealifts. They are all huge from the waist up.
  19. I do that on the bike. I literally get out of the front gate and start bombing Yesterday I did a quick run across town, it was 95F and I was shot for the whole day afterwards.
  20. http://www.dieselpowermag.com/tech/1208dp_banks_vm_motori_630t_v6_diesel_engine/ I would love one of those in the Jeep....
  21. It does great on music, as long as that music is a 50Hz sine
  22. Box from a couple of pages back, now with painted trim rings and installed: Next up is a trim piece over the amp and 2 trim pieces to conect the ports to the sides. Pedobear rims: And the only way of keeping cars acceptably cool on a 90* day: You can see the Jeep in the background and 2 of the cars I've worked on in the foreground, all with tin-foil. The ugly duckling:
  23. How often does the mailbox get run over ?
  24. Back from the competition... The SPL system is getting uglier and louder with each competition. 151.4 dB, db drag style I was the only one in my class, which sucks since there's nothing to motivate me but I did have the loudest car of the day. And after getting the prize, a reporter from a local newspaper wanted to take pictures of me next to the car So I'll probably make some odd page of the newspaper.
  25. Rectangular steel tube ? Did you fill it with concrete ?
