Welcome to the IHoP
As promised, pics of the completed boxes : It's installed, along with the amp. I still need to build an amp cover and some trim pieces for the sides. Should be happening next week and I will post pics of the install once it's done

Sounds just about right If I ignore some minor imperfections, I managed to get the second box wrapped in around 2 hours. Only the baffle and top, all in one piece. Pics tomorrow

Welcome to the IHoP
Luckily I sanded the whole box almost to paint-ready level and all transitions are smooth, so without the foam it turned out perfect.

The whole delay with projects wouldn't suck if I didn't have a competition this weekend. I really really want to try out my new box, which has been collecting dust for 6 months. But noooo....the closed cell foam has to act up.

Blame it on the rain You did remind me of VST. The VST and a whole slew of programs which can be found "accidentally" are what I've used setting up a friends carputer. It's been set up for over 2 years and only starting the install next month.

FUcking AAAA, I used some 1/8" closed cell foam under the vinyl for wrapping the boxes I'm working on and it turned out very very un-even. So, off comes the vinyl, then the foam and then clean-up before wrapping them again. Piece of shit closed cell foam.

Had a nice jump-rope workout this evening as I really need to improve my cardio. And every morning I'm running up 4 flights of stairs to the office.

Looking for a four stroke or two stroke? Budget? I'd look for some KTMs. Pretty much everyone I ride with (including my dad) has KTMs, both 4stroke and 2stroke, and none of them have ever had any issues. If I was to bet money on which bikes were the most reliable, that's where I'd put my money. Personally I like 2strokes, and in that case I'd be looking for some exc/xc/xc-w 250cc, 300cc. I believe the exc has lights and all that street legal stuff, where as the xc and xc-w do not. The xc-w is the wide ratio tranny version of the xc. That option will likely depend more on what your riding, perhaps the "w" plus changing gearing would help if you plan on cruising around town on it. The 300cc version is basically the same weight as the 250cc, but faster, more torque, easier to climb up hills, etc. If you go the 4stroke route, check out their xc-w 450. They just came out with a sweet 350 4stroke, but doubt you want to spend over $7k USD on a brand new bike. I'm actually riding a suzuki rm250 now (motocross bike), and it does just fine for all the single track and technical stuff we do. Haven't had any issues with it either. Really the list could go on and on as to what bikes are decent, the above is just what I've personally rode. I don't know if there is any sand dunes or anything like that near you, but if the bike has paddle tires, I wouldn't bother with it. In a nutshell, I would like a 2-stroke, road-legal bike. 250cc should be plenty. 4-stroke also works. Pricing is not going to be clear since I don't live in the US but under 2k used is something I would shoot for. I was looking at the RM250 and compared to a street bike I've been eying up (Suzuki GS500e), they are much more expensive and not road-legal Because of your location I'd check out KTM, Husqvarna, MZ, and other European brands as they should be cheaper than US and Asian imports. Also, don't limit yourself to just motorcycles: having fun on 2 wheels is having fun on 2 wheels, no? Why the hell not but I can't fricking figure out what's wrong with mine. Sometimes it runs ok, other times, after stopping it bogs down. I suspect CVT problems...

Funny you should mention super-moto, a neighbor has just converted his Yahama to super-moto.

Stefan, got any recommendations on a dirt bike ? I'm looking to replace the moped and would love something that I could also use off-road.

What I find funny is that he probably takes pride in being a free man in a free country, yet advocates building concentration camps.

Today was "get shit done day". No more railings to install (at least for 2 weeks), final flare done, I can focus on the fiberglass box

Extremis installed today and in my wisdom I reversed the polarity on one of them. Turned on the music, no midbass.

Welcome to the IHoP
My quartet of Extremis arrived today. One had a very very slight coil rub, only on the downstroke, I suspected some sort of loose debris. A couple of quick free-air power bursts and no more noise or coil rub Can't wait to find time and put two in the doors. Or maybe in enclosures under the seats.

Why would you want to do that and stray from the "norm" ?

In the De Tomaso Sean. have to have one made from leather I think I am going to do this, only with a Crown Black bag!! My shifter boot is made out of leather, stock one looked like it belonged on a tractor.
