  1. Was my main form of transport when in college. My uncle in law is even more nuts. He rides a motorcycle to work everyday. Last year (big snow year) he only didn't on less than 7 days. It wouldn't have been ok for me in college. For work transport it's perfect. I do need one to fit my size since I've had this one for 10 years
  2. -9F this morning. The rear sprocket on the bike decided to act up. If I stopped pedaling for a split-second it would unlock and not lock back unless I stopped and rolled back a bit. It's funny to see people's faces when you show up at work on the bike when it's this cold
  3. Probably some subconscious stress. I traced mine to intense use of the PC, since it happened in my first month at the job.
  4. I never realized the flare was that big When building a low-ish power SPL setup with a 15 I only saw 0.4dB gain by going from 8" to 10" port, so for a daily application 8" will provide the most output while being practical Good job on the build
  5. I saw pics from the actual "build" 2 days ago
  6. Two weeks I tell you I almost wanted to poke my eye out.
  7. Ah, resolutioners are starting to thin...the gym isn't so crowded. When doing power squats today some douche told me it's the wrong way of doing squats and explained me how I should to olympic squats. I wonder if he got his stick-like legs by doing squats
  8. Do share... ermm, I mean do tell
  9. God, I still haven't had time to test mine
  10. At some point I had eye twitching for almost 2 weeks. Cured itself...
  11. Rode the bike back home from work in 4+ inches of snow
  12. Same here. And if people ask me why sticks I usually reply that they can also be used to stab people that ask silly questions.
  13. LOL @ 3 and 4
  14. Sub up, port up judging by the shape of the car. 58 Hz for a small hatch is ok. Increase port area, try to get over 1/2 of the cone area. Try to get a flare, even if it's on a square port. I tested a single flare on a round port and it gained 1.8 dB !!! Increase box volume. Simulate first, to see if above tuning with the power you have you pass the mechanical limits or not. Best of both worlds would be a pluggable port, or 2 ports. If you block one you get musical tuning and with both ports open you get a higher tuning for SPL.
  15. Congrats !
  16. Same here...
  17. Pressure sensors for the VNT controller are here. Only thing missing is the microcontroller. I will need to DIY a W-terminal on the alternator for RPM output, install the boost gauge to calibrate the pressure sensors and the whole thing will work like a data logger. RPM, intake pressure, throttle position on the first version.
  18. I wanna see some tribal warriors like this guy in the MMA. Watch them just eat people up twice their size. Would be awesome! The mind is a funny thing. That guy is apparently a very capable thai fighter Search Buakaw on youtube and check out highlights from his fights. I don't doubt it, he just has that look of being possessed. His war cry isn't too far off from possessed either

  20. Austria got 2 meters of snow, roads closed, railroads closed and I didn't see news on the international web pages. Seattle got 4 inches of snow and it's the Snowpocalypse
  21. Cool, I'll handle it tomorrow. With the amount of new topics it would be best to stick to that guideline.
  22. Gotta love the pompous names. 16 years of research for a power cord... I wonder if they come with their own miniature nuclear power plant, so that they will feed the perfect amplifiers from a perfect power source, through perfect power cords.
  23. Can you please give the pinned topics a good, thorough read ? This one to be more precise: And tell me what you pick up there. I'd like to see all your 4 topics merged into one.
  24. I love tight things Glad you like them and glad they do fit correctly. The Euro-spec versions are not that tight but I can lift a whole box by the flare and it won't come off. Wiggle on all sides and it will come off, the flare will take it. Heck, I've used flares as seats at a competition to prove they are strong Use a bit of gear oil when assembling the flare and it should go on / come off easier
  25. Do want one of these: http://bringatrailer.com/2009/01/12/blue-plate-1977-jeep-cherokee-chief-v8/ They are old enough to be registered as a historical vehicle, it's a V8, it's a 4x4...
