  1. This is mostly a near future thing, since I always wanted a muscle car. After checking with the local DMV, in order to be registered as a historical vehicle, it needs to have stopped production for over 30 years, be mostly stock, which means owning one is a possibility. No registration tax, no road tax, just minimal insurance...
  2. For now the flange comes at no extra cost. As I move out flanged versions I will be able to adjust the price correctly to reflect the slight increase in raw material quantity compared to the standard flare.
  3. Don't like it. Too much mash. If you're gonna do it, stick with one model year. It's disproportionate and the clay just looks nasty. I kind of like it... Speaking of Mustangs, what is a ballkpark price for a 67-70 in fair condition, with a v8 ? 289, 302, 351, whatever is right for the year it was made Fair condition is such a loose term. Expect to pay at least $20K for something you can drive. Fair condition as in not a rust bucket. Some rust doesn't scare me too much. A possible engine rebuild also doesn't scare me.

  5. He promised to change after the amp fiasco. Did he change ? Nope, still same ole Kevin.
  6. 13.6" with flange, 12.1" without flange I didn't see it that way Aaron, makes sense now
  7. The subs might be good but his ways of going about are bad...
  8. I never expected the flanged 8" to be this big...it's slightly smaller than the 10". The flange is 3/4" wide. Standard 8" over flanged 8" Profile: Flanged 8" vs standard 10"
  9. What do you say about 140db legal in a sealed box ? And when turned down it would be just right to listen to music (and not rattle brains out). I really like them and would definitely run a 10W7 if I had the bank...
  10. The mod team is here for control, not here to make board decisions, like what vendors stay and what vendors go. Technoboy, did you look around for a phone number ? Maybe you could get ahold of him that way.
  11. Read that topic. Apparently unbeknownst to us, the DD-1 changed the car audio world. Changing the audio world for the better, setting up the law in car audio, evolution of car audio... What are these people smoking ?
  12. Huh ? Did Kevin move ?
  13. First flanged flare was built last evening. It's coming off the mold as soon as I get back from work. Pics coming up by the end of the day
  14. I imagine something like that do-able, with solid-state loads but building one of those is a brainfuck and definitely not something that can be produced at a decent price.
  15. Discipline is one thing, the tag-team in that video is too much. Ryan, I still remember when I was sent to the corner by my dad...I was probably 5 or 6. For me it worked excellent And I still remember ass whoopins...
  16. That's a very good point of view. Kids = lots of responsibility. We have lots of people here who can barely afford to live yet pop out kids, only to end up living in horrible conditions...I can't understand how some can be so irresponsible.
  17. I can't even get half way through it. I can watch hadji's be tortured, see some of the most depraved fucked up torture techniques performed (in person and in video) and to watch a child be beaten by an adult fills me with such rage its not even funny. I seriously hope he gets locked up in general pop and the lifers have a good time with him. Its just re-damn-diculous to go off like that. A simple pop on the ass or a smack in the mouth (all situation dependent) fine. That's not beating, that's discipline. Using a belt and tag teaming your kid with your wife helping you and her telling her to 'take it like a grown woman' is out of line. J What fucktards :| I got my share of discipline but it ended very very quickly. They deserve to be ass raped with sticks for what they did....
  18. Sad to hear about the news Mike SS will indeed be missed. SS is the reason why I joined this board on the first place. I love my Rl-i 10 to death and I really hope I will be able to snatch up an Orphan...
  19. Pretty much nothing new, mostly removing protection circuits...
  20. We don't have any flat-rate boxes It's all per weight: $12 / package + $6 / lb.
  21. I really need to figure out a gym schedule during winter and take advantage of free gym passes...
  22. As long as the people want a deal, SURE ! Shipping a good number of flares would also drop the price a bit. And everything is ready for a flanged 8" flare tomorrow, if it goes well, I'll add a flange to the 10" too.
  23. Time for explanatory pics.. Hole cut to flare outer diameter, extra panel screwed to the inside of the box so that the flare sits flush with box panel, fiberglass was then applied in 4 points, to attach the flare to the panel. I usually cut chopped fiberglass, mix it with resin and add it that way. This is how it looks on the inside: If you want it flush with the outside and permanent, do it all mirrored. Please excuse the look of the flares, they are my very first flares Enough talk...time to get a flange going.
  24. Indeed, PSP makes nice ports with good pricing.
