  1. Congrats on the progress Julian !
  2. YAY, I just bought a Canon S90. B-stock but with 12 month warranty and it was half the new price.
  3. Well, in the OP's case, when going down in volume showed a drop in score it's obvious what happened. As for loading and box / car relation, I remember I used to have a huge box for my xxx18, 10cubes or so, couldn't get anything decent out of it so I cut it down to 6 cubes and gained a little.
  4. INdeed. MOAR volume. Your drop in score is related to the enclosure volume. I'm using a single BTL 12. Tried 2 cubes, couldn't go over 147dB. Went to 2.8 with more port area and got an extra 2dB. And I have no mercy...it gets everything my Z1 can muster. Whenever I drop the volume a little, I lose.
  5. Gave the Faital's a quick test. They need a larger cutout so I had to improvise. So far so good. I personally didn't feel an improvement in output. More listening is needed. One thing I learned is that the tonality problems for the driver's side mid don't come from enclosure volume. The Faital's need half of what I have available. So I have to track down my problem. Not very audible when in stereo and the SQ judge certainly didn't hear it but it's there and it bugs me.
  6. Holsten Weissen ranks as top beer so far for me.
  7. Over 9000....
  8. That's weird... Brings me memories from when I was 5 or 6... Saw something moving fast followed by 2 MIG's. The first thing definitely didn't look like a MIG...
  9. Haha, i forgot to mention that they would PM me to get my cell number so i could send them pics. Download them from the phone and upload them. Simple enough. Or send them to somebody who can download them from the phone.
  10. The color looks better. I'd be willing to bet that if they came from the same build house the use the exact same parts. If you have the same board it's the same thing. It's not like a 2.0 TDI from an Audi is worlds different from one in a VW. Same engine, same engine performance, different engine cover though...
  11. Hungarian prick on ebay listed his auction as "deliver to Europe" but apparently Romania isn't in Europe for him... I should just cross the border and bitch-slap him.
  12. The prototype will definitely answer a lot of questions for me.
  13. Sled on the trailer with the cover down in the garage right now which means its a pain in my arse to get it out, but I am supposed to on Sunday. When I do, I'll unload it and disassemble the beyotch and document the shit out of anything you want if you'll help me through this. Whenever you have time to do it. Don't work on it especially for this. I think its sounds like a kick ass idea and obviously don't need the sled until next winter, but can easily keep the hood and such out of storage and still store the beast. Was going to hopefully pick up a 19" rack this weekend and need the sled bed to grab it since I don't have a truck anymore. I'm pretty stoked about it too ! Brainstorming power supply ideas right now... Reflector issues? Need some light to the side and assume this is possible but don't know. I don't know if the reflector would harm...got a pic of the current headlight ? Light to the sides is solvable. I have 60 degree lens and there are even wider ones.

  16. I'm sure some 'high-octane' fluids were consumed before that
  17. Winner ! You're on a roll with the gifs
  18. And here's my latest project... This is the old enclosure: I chuckled when I took the sub out.
  19. Ah, pics, my camera sort of lives...easy to tell the quality SUCKS now... Bag'o'lens and that's just the tip of the iceberg 3x3 for this prototype... Shallow !
  20. Sean, the beauty of using LED's for the light is that they are modularizable (is that even a word) ? Opening up a headlight isn't extremely useful now. When I can go ahead and build something, I'll need dimensions,
  21. I haven't been pranked and haven't pranked anyone today. BOO, starting to lose faith in humanity.
  22. Congrats ! ! ! !
  23. INDEEEEED
  24. Was that chinese? I have no idea what you just said. They probably are chinease! Wa I highoutputLEDs. Shieh Shieh. China FTW I never did mention I have a few houndreds of lenses already. 8, 35 and 60 degree spread. China stuff but VERY nice quality.
  25. Definitely interested in the details, the snowmobile could use a headlight upgrade I've been putzing around with high outpul LED options for vehicles for a while. It's always the circuitry that hangs me up. I'm interested too adrian, please keep us in teh loopz! School (graduation project), installs, backhoe work, meter work, flare work and now light work. I can't promise any time frame... Almost snapped today when I couldn't find batteries for the camera
